Arrow Average for sale thread approval time?

I spent a lot of time typing one up in the second gen section last night and it still hasn't shown up yet. I understand this is not interesting...just wondering if they're usually taken care of within 24 hours?

Is the "posted" date on the threads the time they are approved or originally submitted?

If my thread was denied, can I get a copy of it so I can submit it to the thread denial god in the sky one more time?

It wasn't approved because it wasn't in compliance with all the rules..... I just checked for you.

It's all listed in the stickies at the top of the FS section, I even made a note of it in the visitor message section of my profile.

If you go into any of the classifieds sections you'll see every thread has a state icon location next to it, 'CA' 'NJ' etc. Choosing the dropdown isn't the same thing.

I'll go in and fix it for you this one time so that you don't have to resubmit

Since these questions are common but are well said in this thread by the OP, here's the set of replies as this thread now goes to sticky status.

The standard answer is that Classifieds ads can be approved/released from the Moderation board anywhere from 2 seconds to 2 days depending on what the Classifieds Moderators are doing. Not all the Moderators you see on this website are allowed into the Moderation board which holds these types of threads plus all the New Member submissions. Some of them, like GoodfellaFD3S, run shops and are active racers, so things back up during events like SevenStock, which he attends religiously.

It is the time they were originally submitted. For this reason, any thread a day or so old that gets approved by moi, I'll bump with " ***mod bump*** " to get that ad thread to the top of the list. Since replies to Classifieds threads also puts them to the top of the list, these new ad threads will sink to the second page without such action. What the other Mods do, I can't say.

Classifieds threads are soft-deleted, so the whole thing, including pic attachments, is still there for the Moderators to access. Sometimes, we delete the attachments because they are server killers and there is no use for them to be there if the ad is deleted.

You can ask for the copy but the main point is that there will be no PM sent for the common infractions that get an ad deleted, so it is up to you to ask. Send a PM. I've done it on more than one occasion so a Seller could take it, fine tune the text a bit more before submitting their next ad.

On gross violations or ones where it is obvious the OP needs to be guided, a PM will be sent. Usually, these are the ads where the person is doing a Part Out ad and didn't read the rules....or one where they are selling for their cousin or good friend "1000 miles away."

PM's are the exception and not the rule. We simply don't have the manpower to cover such an extravagance.
