Adding the option to edit thread titles and original posts?

It's kind of frustrating not to be able to edit thread titles and original posts in classifieds. Specifically the NW region classifieds. I don't post fs ads anywhere but there so I'm unsure if this is a forum wide issue. When fs threads get to be multiple pages it's irritating to have to go through everything to find out if something has been sold. Would be nice to be able to change the title to reflect new items and remove items as well. Would hopefully cut down on gravedigging also. I understand there's some sort of window (time limit) in which you can edit posts but I think it would be beneficial to always have this option for OP/titles. Curious to hear a mods thoughts on this, my apologies if it has already been covered.

The reason you are not allowed to edit them is to protect the "Original" content in case of a dispute. Since we have had so many scum buckets sellers on this site it is in place to protect the members.

Don't moderators have the ability to view all edits anyone has made? You will always have the history of what was posted in case of a dispute. I am a member on many other vbulletin based forums and this isn't an issue for them since there is the historical view of how a post has been changed.

Nope. Once it is changed there is no record!
