Add ability to delete threads

So the search feature is so slow, probably due to how many threads are out there. Many threads exist where someone asks a question & no info is exchaged (either it is ignored, or someone says "go search").

I think we should be able to delete threads that we start, if we think they contain no useful info & are dead. This would reduce the number of active threads, which should improve the forum's speed (& remove useless threads, which make reading sections less frustrating).

Is this possible to do?

That function was removed because there have been numerous incidents when an individual posts something,...and tries to backtrack or delete what was said before. This allows for someone to lie or bull$hit their way out of stuff.

The removal of that function prevents scammers and other people from backing out of what they say. Stuff like cars being in perfect condition, when a month earlier...they made a thread about their engine blowing.

It's there for "protection"...if you want to look at it that way.
