7Club Lounge makes me sad.

Look at all the bickering and sadness that has happened here.

I'm taking a 7Club break and maybe everyone can figure out what in the hell is going on. Thank God this isn't a site with premium stuff, like in the survey I did, because that would suck.

When people can't bullshit in the lounge, it makes me sad.

And sometimes, just sometimes, I think those bold black (and red) letters have gone to peoples' heads.

So see ya, lounge. See ya, politicking members. See ya, good ol' days.

And this is by no means an exodus, attempt to flee, or anything else. Just one member actually getting away from the downward spiral the lounge has become.

OBTW, see ya on TFL.

You've been here long enough to know this essentially symbolizes a shift change with the regular users. Some come in, stay for a year, get pissed off and bicker with everyone, causing turmoil. . . then they leave. . . the people that have been here forever stay. . . then it starts aknew.

That's one of the reasons i've sorta been nill around here. Just waiting for the tide of users to change. I do agree that not being able to just randomly post and bullshit people has sorta gone down hill on account to everyone having a thorn stuck up their ****. Lotta the people just seem waaaaay to sensititve about everything.

I check in every now and again to make sure all mah peoples are good, but other than that, i haven't added the RedR1-esque substance in a few months for various reasons. . . ones that you've pointed out.

it's ok Wotty-Wot. We always have Paris

No ****, I can't even rip someone a new ******* without getting yelled at. I've been doing the same thing on here for years.

And there is no other place besides here and TFL. Rotary Car Club sucks a nut, as do all of the other forums. Six Speed and Audizine are cool for info, but most of the people on there are douchebags too.

Not just lately...

A year ago you were going though some paranoid issues that I was out to get you too.

Have they started again??? Is that the reasons for your confusion?

To everyone else... its just the ebb and flow of a board. You can put comments in the survey at the announcement at the top of the page or PM them to me if you really think there are issues.

Yeah, I know, and we have been trying to weed out some of the bad apples and trouble makers in the Classifieds. I guess we need to start doing it in the lounge.

I do think it is interesting that wotnartd talks about the old days and going to TFL, when TFL was created by people that wanted the lounge here to be more (how shall I say this...) non PG-13. They created it because we wouldn't let them post nudity and threads like "I want to eat your ***** bitch" (which lets face it.. really is so over the top for a thread title on a car board I don't know here to start).

And when they all went over to TFL, it really was for the good.

Agreed. Just to clarify (at least on my part), it's not the management that we end users are complaining about. It's other users. . . . mainly new. . some people view posts, and leave it be. Others, mainly new people, will see a post and report it. It's like they came onto the board with a chip on their shoulder to take everything serious, even simple comments like "**** you, right in the ***," etc.

It has nothing to do with Admins and mods like yourself and Nader, Justin, etc. Yall are cool as ice from what i've seen online and in person. It's other users that take everything posted as an attack, threat, etc etc.

You, as well as I know every few months there is an exodus, and the new people leave, and the rest of us old farts are here, back to our old tricks

Well, I'm for the first time torn about my thoughts on people leaving the site. I still want the site to grow and get better, but I know too much about the Internet Brands influence to wish them well at this point.

If members want to go, especially the members who don't give a **** about ethics, they can take their slap-happy asses on out. I really don't give a ****. Ultimately, this place becomes a little more enjoyable when the tornado is over and the winds have died down.

Eh, just get rid of the lounge. Half the people in there have never even owned an RX-7 anyway.

I can't even view the Lounge at work because just some of the immature avatars are termination offenses per AT&T Internet Policies..

Is this sellers remorse? It sounds a lot like sellers remorse.

Anyone who thinks that the forum is going to improve should just hang it up. It will not return to the way it used to be. This is no different from when a big business is bought out. The first thing that happens is new rules are put in place, then the higher management is fired, then eventually the company fails :-)

Well there's no doubt that the site could be better under IB ownership. They have infinately more resources than I did as an owner, but they lack anywhere near the same level of concern and commitment. I'd like nothing more than to help them implement the huge list of ideas I've proposed, but now they've cut me out of the loop over you guessed it - money. I'd still work with them tomorrow if somebody would just answer my calls.

Use the survey to let them know what you think, but don't be dicks about it or it'll just get deleted.

Concern and Commitment do not make profits. Vendors, membership fees, large advertisment, and large amounts of hits per day... That is where the money is. Big Business does not give a **** about your technical writeups on how to change your spark plugs or how to remove your OMP. That does not make money.
