ZIDANE Apology

I know some of you are probably sick of talking about this topic but I thought we'd add some closure by explaining the communications before the headbutt.

In Zidane's press conference yesterday he said that Matarazzi insulted his sister and mother repeatedly, as well as twisted his nipple.

Matarazzi acknowledges the nipple twist and insult but claims it was not related to his mother or terrorism.

"The Times" and a couple of other news oufits hired lip readers to review the tapes and below is there findings.

First Matarazzi pulls on Zidane's shirt and twists his nipple.

Zidane: "if you want my shirt that much I'll give it to you after the game"

Matarazzi: "I'd rather have the shirt off of your wife"

Zidane is walking away

Matarazzi: "Everyone knows that you are the son of a terrorist *****"

Zidane headbutts Matarazzi and Matarazzi plays dead.

Coincidentally Zidane's mother was in hospital at the time.

It is getting old now. man, I love how far they're looking into this. kudos on the nipple twist though, I would be like WTF! That would be the last thing i'd expect! lol Good show! Zidane blew Frances chance at the World Cup and will most likely face the guillotine now, after that headbutt it wasn't so much about Italy winning but more about France suffering for their so called captains idiotic display of temper. oh yeah... VIVA ITALIA! lol

Well I guess it boils down to your opinion on whether violence can ever be justified. And remember as a nation we currently choose to engage in violent confrontations when and where we feel necessary or when the UN Security council asks for such an offensive.

But the laws for our citizens are different in that violence is never tolerated except in self-defence.

Personally I think Zidane is a principalled man who encountered a person lacking in moral fibre. I would have preferred that he stayed calm until after the game and then beat Matarazzi over the head with the actual World Cup. But thats me.

But it is clearly a personal weakness if someone is able to locate your sensitivity buttons and then push them.

Yeah but did anyone actually believe that France was ever gonna win? They were a joke. It's not just because i'm Italian that i'm saying this but Italy was obviously the stronger team. If France had won they definately would have deserved it. Do you know how much other **** was probably done and said between the two teams that was never shown or even seen. Both players were at fault, sportsmanship is the main goal of the World Cup but it was the finals and tempers flaired. I'm not starting a war, just stating the obvious. Anyways, both teams played hard and I respect France for keeping up even after losing Zidane, France had their Cup in 98 now Italy got theirs. Who knows what the outcome might have been if the France player hadn't hit the crossbar? It was an exciting game to watch and both teams pleased their fans.

well, most people would have put as good of a chance on France as Italy before the world cup started (they both finished top of their group in qualifying). so France definetly was not a joke. both teams were quite strong. the bigger joke to some people might be the fact that it was Italy and France in the final.

although, this whole Zidane issue might be the biggest joke of the world cup...

okey ill do it for him.

Frank " Italy rocks man , we had the strongest team of actors they be "

italian training video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccDyp2aRRCg

edit: okey im hating, I was actually going for italy. And It's too bad that Zidane had to go down like that. As Charn said above, Would be better to beat his head after the game with a chair or something. But that was the idea, to sike Zidane and it happened.

So Cheers , Italy 2006

I'm not much of a soccer/'football' fan, so I didn't really care who won. So for me the whole headbutt thing is pretty hilarious. I hate it when people talk $hit so for me Matarazzi got what was comming to him. You must admit that was one hell of a headbutt and Zidane had a pretty good aim to hit him right in the solar plexus... Matarazzi was -->

Edit: I agree with Charn though, he should have waited until the game was over, but I guess Matarazzi hit a nerve. I think most people know what its like to do something that feels satisfying at the moment and then regret what you did later, doing things without thinking in the heat of the moment is something that happens all too often.

Sounds as sincere as Red Bull apologies in their press release for the French Grand Prix.

It has come to our attention that last year's French Grand Prix Red Bull Preview ruffled a few feathers and so in a spirit of goodwill Red Bull would like to APOLOGISE and say SORRY for any distress it might have caused the good citizens of "L'Hexagone."

And while we're at it we would also like to say SORRY for the fact that other countries have impressive national emblems like lions or eagles, but France is represented by a chicken with a comedy name "Cocorico."

On the subject of comedy, we would like to APOLOGISE for the fact that we foreigners don't find La Comedie Francaise funny.*

We would like to APOLOGISE for the fact that while you are so proud of your cheeses, England actually produces more fromages than you.

We would like to APOLOGISE for the fact that other European nations constantly take their triumphant photos in your Arc de Triomphe.

We would like to APOLOGISE for the fact that Anglo-Saxon popular music has entered your culture and given the world the chance to laugh at French Rap Music.

We would like to APOLOGISE for allowing tiny Green Peace dinghies to get in the way of your warships and sinking in front of them.

We are SORRY for the fact you only have one F1 driver, that he's at the back of the grid and for the fact that your Renault world championship team is run by an Italian whom you find very irritating - nearly as irritating as all his English engineers and mechanics.

We APOLOGISE for the fact the European Union has decided that English beef can once again be sold in France.

We APOLOGISE for the fact you had to give way to external pressure and ban the ridiculous Priorite a Droite rule that allowed your funny little 2CV cars to pull out of tiny side roads into the path of oncoming juggernauts.

We APOLOGISE for the fact that petrol prices have now risen to such an extent in France that farmers are finding it difficult to buy enough fuel to set fire to lorries full of English lamb.

We are HAPPY to be here as you celebrate "le quatorze juillet" although we are SORRY we don't understand why you are celebrating the fact that one group of French people beat the crap out of another group of French people. But please remind us, was the 14th July celebrating the revolution in 1789, 1830, 1848, 1871, 1936 or 1968? Goodness! Your list of revolutions is so long it reads like a train timetable....or at least it would if your train drivers, like your truck drivers and air traffic controllers weren't busy striking rather than working.

We are SORRY this race is not taking place at Le Castellet.

We are SORRY that you love foreigners so much that you try and stop them driving out of the country by ensuring your automated Petrol Stations are the only ones in Europe that won't accept foreign credit cards.

And so we come to the World Cup. But even we cannot be that cruel and, in any case, what would there be for us to APOLOGISE about?

* Yes, we do know the Comedie Francaise is not supposed to be funny.

Zidane has a temper, MaterNazzi is a ***** and a dirty player.

You add the two and yeah, you'll get fire works.

Its no secret that the Serie A and the country of Italy is one of the most racially charged places in the world and along with Australia. Proof? Throwing Banannas at blacks? Proudly showing **** gestures at a 'S.S Lazio' game? Can't say that ALL italians are like that but its just a damn shame that this stuff happens and I wouldn't be surprised if MaterNazzi did dip to racial and religious slurs.

I understand why Zidane did what he did and honestly its really low of someone to talk about someone else's mother/race/religion. I think I would honestly fucked that guy up and made an example out of him. Long live Zizou!

Gotta admit what Zidane said first 'if you want my shirt that badly I'll give it to you after game' was freaking brilliant.

Haha. It was a fucken headbutt during a soccer game. Not a matter of global importance.

There is a great saying is sports called "Scoreboard". Zidane could have won the game, and told Materazzi "Scoreboard", but instead he wigged-out like a tool, didn't behave like a leader, and cost his team a chance at victory.

Bigmouth Materazzi achieved EXACTLY what he wanted to do: put Zizou off his game. Not only that, but he got him kicked off the pitch. Classic sports psychology. This sort of thing happens in all levels of sports. Yes it is lame, but Zizou should have been the better man instead of an emotional idiot.

In hockey and football you get ****/smacktalked all the time. What do you expect, lots of testosterone and not a lot of brains. The difference is that those guys are not pussies and take it like men, unlike the soccer primadonnas.

LOL....the headbutt looks like Dahlsim from street fighter

I think considering the billions of watching world cup fans that Zidannes head butt was inappropriate during match time. A retiring cap who's led his country in 98’ and who had had a relatively successful career with Madrid should go out with a bit more class I think.

I didn’t really care too much though.... meh, I lost interest after....

ENGLAND got eliminated BY PORTUGAL

I'm just sad because I wanted Italy to loose so bad. My girlfriend is italian, and I just can't get over the fact that they seem to think that bragging about their team winning the Mundial makes them the supreme nation of the world.

European football has got to be the gayest sport in the world.
What other major sport lets the Cup be won by penalty shots? Imagine if the Stanley cup was won on penaty shots in Canada... there'd be riots.

What other sport will allow a player to act like he was almost killed by someone pulling on his shirt a bit?

I dunno man, I feel France played a much better second half than Italy (including the OT), but Italy won fair and square according to the gay rules of a gay sport.
It's just sad that an entire country is relying only on the result of that game to brag and think their dicks are bigger than the others.
