Watch out for a certain Mexican in a Mazda3. Especially if it's icy out.

There isn't much to watch out for. Drive a little slower, leave more room - it all falls under common sense.

And make sure all your drain hole plugs are in place unless you want to fill the shell with salt and goop.

My vert with the original RE-71 Performance tires had absoolutely no trouble in the snow in the Philadelphia area...

But if I were to run it as far north as you are, I would run two sets of wheels - one with studded winters.

never avoid a icy deserted parking lot, they are your friend, so be mean to them, and do circles on them, and slide on there head!. . . . . . . lol

just remember its snow and ice on the road not just rain.

The biggest problem is RUST. If you intend to preserve the car and keep the body in good shape, the only choice is to NOT drive in the winter. Find another RX-7 that's already rusted and keep it as a beater if you really want to drive one in the winter.

the problem i notice in winter is that it's actually 2 weather conditions. on residential roads, it's all hard pack and ice. but unless it still snowing the main roads are usually blown off or dry. i ran studs for a while, they're REALLY loud and a little sketchy on wet road. i pulled all the studs out and haven't had any issues, but if it's blizzarding out i throw a sandbag behind the passenger seat. best place for the weight.
