This Is Why You Need A Cage On Track

I truly believe that you need to take all precautions whenever you are on track. This is true whether you are just lapping or racing. Things can go wrong in an instant and you can collect another car over a blind crest or around a blind corner or just because the guy ahead of you is a tool.

With the speeds a lot of guys are travelling now, I think it is even more critical. I have always built safety before I built the speed.

Take a look and imagine what would have happened without full safety equipment.

By the way, when your car has an issue, get way off the track and don't stop on the racing line.

Thanks for posting - hmm, that doesn't sound right, but thanks. I'm glad everyone was okay. That looked like it ended up being more than the two cars involved. Our sport is so much fun but a challenge also.

I do agree with your final statement also. That's crucial.

Yep 100% agree. Safety is unfortunately not everyone's priority. It seems more reasonable to spend money on go fast parts rather than safety equipment. I think until something unfortunate or catastrophic happens, thats the only way organizers and racers will wake up and take note. It is getting there so there is hope. Unfortunately people are not aware of track/racing etiquette as well.

It looks like the porsche literally braked hard and stopped there if you watch all the scenes. No way to avoid it with the intense competition those 2 were going all out.
