where to buy hawk hp+ pads fast?
hey guys i wanted to pick up a set of hawk hp+ pads for the tii before going to the gap. i was going to buy them from spi through my dads buissness but there backordered for 2 weeks. anyone have any ideas? or maybe have a set they can sell me?
Try Carl at Perry Auto in Laval. They are a distributor for Hawk for Canada now as I understand.
I emailed him the other day about a set of Hawk's for a person I knows FD and he had them on the shelf.
Just tell him Dave from Halifax with the RX7s sent you.

ya, im not sure you can even order from spi as a member of the general public. i get my caster pre-mix from full-bore under my dads name, i know for a fact they wont serve the general public, you need to have an account with them and order $XXXX of product per year.
thanks for the email redshift i shot one off to him. but until iv confirmed a purchase keep the suggestions coming!
thanks guys!

Happy to help. Carl is really good, but they are busy, so, if you don't get an email back in a reasonable time, you might want to call.
I also have his hotmail address, which he seems to prefer to use:

You only need fronts, LOL. I have run stock Mazda rear pads for years on my race car and they work fine. Yes, if I moved the bias more to the rear, then I would need more aggressive pads, but with the stock distribution/bias valve, good stock pads and HP+'s are a decent setup.
I do have to add that last year when I put some Vortex Race pads on the rear of my car, the pig did stop better, but it took about 2 to 3 laps to get them hot and functioning.

i just figured id replace the rear pads too, and just go with hp+ all around. iv never replaced the pads on the turbo, i just know they work well, well on the street anyway. despite the name of fc owners being cheep, im not, i appreciate a good deal, and buy what i can afford. but when it comes to quality or penny pinching ill take the quality please.
that being said im on a bit of a budget right now but not so bad that i cant afford hp+ on all 4s. if i had more time and money i probably would have opted for new sloted rotors tool but ill hold off for now until im ready for a bbk.

I am the one who set up Scarboro Mazda's purchasing for Hawk and all the other high performance parts. If the pads are in the Canadian Warehouse I can have them the following morning if ordered before 4pm the previous night. Go to Hawks website and give the part number you want, I will tell you availablilty and price. alan@wbtoyota.com
