When are you guys taking the 7 out of storage?

I know some of you are still working on putting it back together but assuming it was complete when do you guys normally shake the dirt off of her?

Mines already back on the road . The nice weather made me take her home . Car felt completely different after driving the comfy RX-8 all winter, I was so not used to it. I still need to rebuild the engine with the 2 piece seals too lolol. Just waiting for the new turbo so I can do it all at once.

I normally wait for some good rainfall to clear the dirty roads but the weather was too good and roads weren't too bad.

I was very tempted to put my 7 on the road last week, but not having it on the road is motivation to finish the Rx-4. I usually break it out April 1st. Probably will do the same this year unless it gets rediculously nice out.

Started when the weather was above 4 degrees. I took it to the car wash about twice a week for that first week. Then we were hit with a bit of rain this week, which is self-cleaning my car as we speak.

Mine hits the streets next week for the short trip while moving. But it will be from garage to garage. It will come out permanently if the weather stays nice.

Normally I would bring her out after the roads are cleaned up, but this year she's in pieces waiting for a new engine and new suspension/steering, so it probably won't be until the end of April or mid May.

Sadly Aurora is still covered in salt. Thankfully it's been raining for the past 48hrs. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get her back on the road next weekend.

Gotta make the summer rubber change over to my daily driver too.

As soon as I have:

-rewrapped my wiring harness
-reassembled the top half of my engine
-reinstalled the cooling system
-replaced my open diff with the LSD which is being rebuilt right now

...and oh yeah, as soon as my Microtech has come back to me from Australia.

At least it is handy for a little spin on a nice day. Gravel won't be gone for a month so it won't see a lot of driving.

Mine needs a few things before it sees the road, still needs certified. Needs new brake pads, windsheild chip fixed, the ebrake cable replaced, and new tires. Also needs both windows fixed as they dont go up and down properly. Think its gonna be a bit before she sees the road lol.

With 19C yesterday and up to 20C today, I am thinking of slapping insurance back on a couple of weeks early.
In my town, they've been removing the rock chips now for a few days.
Just need a good rain to wash any leftover salt away.
