Hoping for sometime in Dec. we'll see how the weather holds up in Victoria.

I tucked her in on September 30th. Now Winnipeg has had record breaking high temps since. Wished I could have held off for another 2 weeks. Oh Well!!

If you can't find anything else, try some of the self-storage buildings. Some of them may allow you to store a car for the winter at a reduced rate, as long as you commit to the entire winter; e.g. November to May. There are quite a few in the Ottawa area that do this type of thing; I'll be storing my cars in one this winter.

A 10' x 20' unit is just the right size for a car. Best thing about an individual storage unit, compared to an large warehouse-type building, is that you don't have to worry about other users damaging your car while putting sailboats, etc. away for the winter.

The Rx-4 got tucked away into its winter storage Monday night after our tour around Bruce and Grey county. It isn't really in storage yet though, so if I get the urge I can still grab it and go for a spin. I'm still driving the TII though, probably till the end of the month.

I usually stored my 8 off site but I sold her, and my 7 is stay home in my garage this winter so I can work on her. But will be putting her up on stands, removing the insurance except fire & theft first weekend in November.

Here in Ottawa, I drive mine right up until the first time salt is put on the roads. If there's a light snowfall, but no salting, I'll drive them when the roads dry out.

But as it gets later in the season, I always make sure to park with a full tank of gas and make sure the tires are fully inflated. You never know when you might get a heavy snowfall and it will be the last time you can take the car out.
