Well here's what I want to do, not sure if I will be able to do any of it though, storage space is kinda tight...

Brakes: Pads & rotors

Suspension: control arms, bushings, T2 sway bars

Interior: need a new arm rest and centre console/radio surround

Engine: Getting it rebuilt and ported in March, need some 5th & 6th ports

Haltech E6X, well it's more of a spring thing, but thats about it, other than the new rear subframe, and new fuel tank. Might install the 720's aswell, shoot for 15psi on the stock turbo, and blow the turbo.

Is there any tips or info that someone can give me for storing a FD over winter in a non-heated garage? I am getting my FD delivered in the next couple of weeks and the weather here is the *****. I want to take all precautions on making sure I store it properly.

Currently in the process of replacing all bushings, new struts and springs, and installing a lightweight flywheel.

next is to get/install a diff with LSD, install ported intake, new vaccumm hoses, 6pi sleeve inserts and unorthodox pulleys.

i don't have a garage to work in over winter, so i pay to store the car in a heated commerical garage.
therefore, i can't work on it...i wouldn't have time to anyways because of school. one of these days though, if i have nothing better to do, i might finish building my MegaSquirt i have lying around.

dufourmike, you are serious about finding a renesis?

Not for a couple years. I have one in my rx8 right now, so i might just save for the time when my warrenty is up, then swap in a built motor for the 8, and put the el-stocko in the vert.

well, people say it's not so practical, but it would be cool to see anyways.

if you are looking for one, maybe talk to the quebec rxclub guys. i recall at a meet last year they had a few lying around, heh. other than that maybe junkyards out of wrecked 8s...i wouldn't imagine it would be cheap though.

Brakes, clean up the interior, and fix up the dents and dings from the summer.

Once I get my FD I am going to be putting on a cat back exhaust, down pipe, turbo manifold, intake, IC (not sure yet if I'm going to do a FMIC or a SMIC),boost controler, and a PFC. Depending on the money situation I might get into some more mods.

There are only 2 things I'll need to do. I have to get rubber for my new wheels and order the Mazdaspeed diffusers I've been meaning to get this past season. Financial situation changed dramatically during the year...
But next season is going to be really nice!

Once the car gets back on the road I'll get the little door dings pulled out. Otherwise she's done!! woohoo!

Lates,

Drive it every day when there is no snow on the road. Wash it every weekend. Work on one thing at a time on weekends.

- Energy Suspension bushings
- Fix free-play in steering box
- Header back exhaust
- TII Transmission
- New clutch and lightweight flywheel
- Put RX-7 and Mazda symbols back on so people don't think its a Nissan
- Reinstall windsheild trim (still need to get the stupid clips)
- Megasquirt (possibly)
- Either porting or turbo... depending on money situation.
