On June 20, 2013,

I took the day off work and did a "lap around the lake".

I drove from London Ontario, to Windsor, took the tunnel (yes, the tunnel) to Detroit, drove to Toledo, (holy Toledo), and followed the shoreline to Cleveland, Ohio.
What's in Cleveland? The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. RUSH was inducted this year. Also, I checked out the house from the movie 'A Christmas Story'. What a street that is.
So, afterwards, I drove out of Ohio, to Erie Pennsylvania, on to Buffalo New York, and took the Peace Bridge back into Ontario. I still had to go a couple hours, through Niagara, Hamilton and Woodstock, before I made it home. That was a full day, and at least 1000km (closer to 1200km because I took the scenic route along the waterfront).

That's a nice way to spend the Summer Solstice.

Any idea's for next year?

Must be nice to just take a day off work.

This sounds interesting though. What can we come up with for fall?? All sorts of colour changes if you know a lot of scenic routes.
