War of The Wheels
Sup guys?
I don't know if anyone's heard of this new show or not, its on Global and the premier season starts in the winter.
I and several others have been selected to do an episode where we must build a slalom capable 1st in 4 days (acutally 3 and a bit) and race the two cars (built by the two teams) at Toronto Motorsports Park
Anyways what I would like to know if what kind of paint scheme would you guys like to see on this bad biznatch.
IMHO - R1 yellow mica with a large rotor graphic down each side, but I'd like to hear the ideas you guys have as well
PEACE!

sounds like a cool little contest. so you said it'a first gen?
i think if you are just going simple yet something that stands out, a nice glossy red would be nice
and if you really want the rotor graphics, having them in black on the red would look pretty cool.

i'm not a huge fan of crazy body mods, but hey everyone is going to like different things!
maybe a subtle body kit would be nice.
i think if you had some decent sized wheels that are sort of a dark gunmetal color that would look pretty mean also.
what is the budget and details and what not for this project?
oh, and be sure to post pics of it

Oh - Feds, am I right that we're using 1st gens?
we could just pretend to do one, then we'll bring yours in on the final day!! LOL
I hope we are on the same team - the cayuga boys would be bringing home the gold FO SHORE!

Sweeet...
I talked w/Kerri today, here's the details as of today...
Original plan was 1st gens, but she can't remember what they bought.
Budget is 10k, but may change as builds go on.
shop is fully stocked, hand tools to welders.
That's about all I thought to ask. I may take a trip to the studio next week to check it out.

General stuff about the show. That civic one airs Feb 12th? so I guess none of this is happening for a while then? Good luck either way, cant wait to see it.

These cars are different from anything on the road, and it would be good to promote that uniqueness, while still making it identifyable as an RX. Every time you see one on a show or movie, you can barely recognize it as an RX.
As far as colour goes, maybe ask the TV people as colours show up differently on TV. Ask them what shows up really nice against the asphalt background and while moving.
Gotta have the rotary symbols on the car IMO!!!!!

classicauto: After a quick search I'm having trouble finding any FB bodykits. I don't know for certain, but I would think that racing beat would have something, but their website is down. Mazdamotorsports most likely has something.
