Twin t25'

Just some pics of my twin t25 setup. I got them off 2 sr20det's.(black tops) Everything was built and or modified by me. I'll post more pics over the weekend. There's a lot of them. The car is at the paint shop right now so when I get it back in about a week I'll post some pics.

Everything was done by me. Thanks guys. Here's some better pics. Hope you guys like it. I can't even guess how many hours I spent over the last few months. The wife is glad the car's gone for paint. "at least it's not in the garage" she said.lol

Not sure how the lag will be with the current eng. It's just a 6port with street ported intakes and stock exh. ports. I built the eng a couple years ago, but then I got sidetracked with another rx7 that I built last summer so this one just sat there until the other one was done. The plan is to build an agressive t2 eng for it sometiime over the summer than I'll use this block in my 85. Just haven't got the time for it right now. I'm going to try to keep the boost levels down until I drop the t2 block in. Don't know if I can resist though.LOL. Should have it on the dyno in 3 or 4wks. Wait til you guys see the body. I'll post some pics of the progress on the paint job mid week when he's got the bumper and side skirts on it. BTW the yellow crap in the eng. bay will be gone shortly. Just remnants of my old set up. Sorry if it's long.

Well done Brent, since you did the work, i'm sure it'll run as clean as it looks! Next time i'm down your way we'll have to go for another coffee and you can show me this this!

Gotta say though, it almost makes me miss my twim setup from last year, I say almost since it never worked properly and cause of what's in the engine bay now

Keep up the great work!

Very nice! What standalone are you using? ....Wait, I see an AFM in there?

I like that manifold...Not as much of a plumbing nightmare as it first seems. But I wonder if the GT25 is large enough to not pose a restriction at the top end? Especailly with a street port, the high compression engine has a lot more exhaust energy then the lower compression TII engine. Am I imagining it or are your fuel rails plugged on one side? Presumably just for mockup?

Thanks again guys. No, no standalone for now. The fuel rails have seperate feed and return lines, and the feed lines aren't done yet. I'll finish them when I get the car back from paint. The plan changes on a daily basis.lol. If you look close(as close as these pics allow anyway) you'll see that just about every piece from the rad to the waterpump housing has been modified so that everything fits nice. You really do need to see it in person in order to get a look at all the details. As for the size of the turbos there a lot larger than the divided housings on the s4 or s5. Not that it matters that much due to the fact that I'll be building a t2 block soon. Good points though Aaron. I look forward to meeting up again Frank. Hopefully we'll both have our cars there this time.

Damn, I just noticed that you stole my idea for a coolant bottle. I thought I was going to be the only one with an aluminium bottle and sight glass.

When do you plan on having the car on the road? Bringing it to any meets? I'd really like to see it up close...

The bodies coming along nicely. I'm hoping to have the car back on wed. night. Probably won't happpen though. Painter's never seem to be on time. Not that it matters, I'm too busy right now to get to my own car. Here's a few pics. The lighting was bad I'll post a few tonight hopefully with better lighting.

Looking good, you'll be amazed at how fast the interior will go back in, hope you labeled the screws.

Thanks. Not to worried about the screws though, I've had the interior out a few times. Used to be right into the big stereo's. If I put an interior back in it will be a black one out of an s5 that I just picked up. I still have some mechanical work left since I had to get the car to the painter's on a specific date. Should have her back sun. at the latest.Brent

boats all use that idea for a sight glass, large fuel tanks.
Arent those turbos fit alittle far back, degrees parallel to the ground. I think corkey bell says a max of 30degs. One thing killin my mock up on my triple turbo. If I can tip them back like 45 thed fit really nice. I like your extensions on the wastegate dump.

I changed the angle from the original pics. There at about 30 deg. maybe a little less. I'll check today and let you know. I wanted to keep them as low and far back as possible in the eng bay. That way I can keep more of the heat out and it made the dp's a lot easier. I'm coming down to the wire now. Just some final cleaning and patching on the floor then the interior's going back in. Here's a few more pics. The front has wood under the control arms so I can get the jack under it so it's sitting up.
