Now I just need to prep the new box and put it back in. That should take a couple of hours. If all goes well I should have it running again before 4:00 pm.

Well done. A friend of mine and i I've gotten drop transmission and install new one down to an hour on mine. Damn NA boxes. But, at least they are light to move around.

New box in, but it doesn't have 3rd, 4th, 5th or reverse. F#@$ ME. I have to do this all over again. with a 3rd box I have. Car starts fine, no grinding in neutral and shifts fine 1st to second, but no gate for the rest of the gears, nothing. What the h3ll can it be????

MAN AM I EVER TICKED RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

I lost 1/2 and 3/4 and only had 5/R. It ended up being the roll pin holding the fork on the selector rod for 1/2 fell out and the selector shifted on the rod and it jammed up on the selector for 3/4 locking out all 4 gears. The shifter just physically could not move into those gates.
I think the part was $0.19 to replace, but I had to take the case off the box to fix it. (Dumping about $60 worth of gear oil, replacing some seals etc.)

Turned out to be a 5 minute fix. The lockout ball bearing had got under the shift lockout piston and left it fully open. Took them out, silicone the covers and reassembled.

Life is good today and we are ready to rock and roll this Sunday.
