they let you guys run mechanical gauges at the track?

INSIDE the car?

wow.

Don't think you'd be able to get that past tech at the dragstrip! (at least not if they knew)

I've got a VDO boost gauge and I must say it matches the FD gauges /very/ well. mine came with an orangey-red condom and I think it matches close enough.
A whole lot closer than my wideband matches anyways

Most people racing RX-7's aren't at the dragstrip though. Mechanical gauges are probably the most common at the track. They definetely make it past tech, the guy I help crew for has a mechanical oil pressure gauge and you can quite clearly see the tube going into the back of it, so it's not that they don't know, or notice. We're also not talking about fuel pressure gauges either, which may be different in the rules.

Very rare but the most stock looking gauge to the FD bar none would be the old school HKS gauge. Exact same font and colour with black back ground. BUT if you look at the needle on most gauges it ends at the center, unlike the stock FD gauge that flows right through. The HKS gauge also flows through the middle just like stock and illuminates orange. The gauge is also electronic with peak hold.

the third pic is what im running now, SARD boost gauge and contoller in one, and the innovate wide band.

PS i still have the HKS gauge for sale
