Those of you with removed OMPs.

What's the conversion in Canada? I understand everyone does 1 oz per gallon, so that would be something like 7.8 ml per liter of fuel? That sounds like it would be a pain in the *** everytime I get gas.

Also, how do you put the 2 stroke oil into the tank?

lots of ways that you can figure this out.
4.1 litres to the gallon...blah,blah...One ounce of 2 stroke to 1 gallon of gas.
I just do it an easy way,I fill up a bottle with 3 oz of 2 stroke and get 15 dollars of gas...30 dollars 2 little bottles of 2 stroke.
I use the little chainsaw oil bottles.Tuck them between the passenger seat and the door.
The Big bottle of 2 stroke is 16 oz,so that would be putting in a Full tank of gas..from near empty.
That's my method.I am sure more guys will comment,but it's a start.

Most people just mix at a ratio of 100:1. So if you get 30 litres of fuel put in 300ml of 2 stroke oil. I usually guess how much fuel I'm going to need and then put the appropriate amount of oil in the tank before filling. That way it mixes with the fuel better.

Having enough room in the tank for the gas seems to be my challange. Every time we stopped for gas at bcm my ratio got higher and higher lol.

That's what I do as well, i just go for 100:1, usually my fill ups are about 60L of gas so put in 600mL of oil

Considering gas prices are always different, how could that be a reliable way of mixing? $15 will get me 11.5 litres. Also I thought 1G = 3.785L

That seems like a bit much. If Americans are doing 1oz per gallon that's about 10 oz for 8 gallons (300ml for 30 litres).

The amount to fill up a tank changes. As mentioned many people use 100:1

Americans do 1 ounce/gal.

I've read others who do 100ml for every 13.3L ( 300ml for 40L).

I'm sure if you search the canadian forum you will find several regarding premix.

Damn, that's only 240ish ml per 67 liters. Considering most here are saying they do 100ml per 10 liters, that doesn't sound like much. I guess any lubrication is good?

I run a little shy of 100:1 I try for about 220ml for 25L of gas.
I always mix in a gerry can then pour it in

i have a little trick i use, i use the opening to the gas tank as my measuring cup. for every $20 i put in i fill it to the rim, given its on an angle im not useing the full area and i think this makes for a good mix. im also using castor 927 racing premix.

Anything from 100:1 to 150:1 is my target. I run conventional two-stroke oil but when I run the synthetic racing stuff I'll run 200:1

Seeing Gas prices aren't rising like the waters in New Orleans,it is safe to say that 5 bucks is about a gallon,on a good day.
It isn't Crucial that you put in 1 to 1,but if you can stay around that area you are fine.
Just don't Go all Overboard.
You should be able to judge how much your car has in it anyways.Besides you are only worrying about the gas you are putting in,not the gas that is already there.
I keep jugs of gas with 3 oz per 5 gallons(20 or so Litres) handy,in case I decide to scoot somewhere in a hurry,and that hasn't hurt anything at that ratio.

I just made a chart that I taped to the inside of my filler cap... my 2 stroke bottles have increments every 100mL so I just calc'd how many liters of fuel I need per 100mL of 2 stroke and fill accordingly

I go by 1oz per gallon. When I fill up I put a certain amount of 2-stroke into the tank and then multiply that number by 3.78 to get how many litres its good for and then fill up. For example I usually put in 8 oz so,
8oz x 3.78 = 30.24L

I buy my oil in cases of 500ml bottles. I put in 100:1. Half a bottle is half a tank, full bottle is a full tank. I never look at the price, just the litres.

You can also get premix measuring bottles which have a 100:1 scale on them and just measure based on how many L you put in.
