For those who know the Importing Game
Hey all. Well, it has finally begun. I'm currently looking for an FD rx-7 in the states to import up to canada, particularly one with blown motor. I've been talking to some owners, and things are looking good. Anywho, I'm already fully aware of the riv regulations with importing. The thing is, I have a friend who works at a mazda dealership. Could I possibly get him to print me a fake recepit for a rebar, and present it to the folks at the Canadian Tire saying I had it replaced with the canadian spec bar? Or will my *** be grass? Thanks

The mechanics at CT, for the most part, wouldn't know a Canadian spec RX-7 bumper from a hole in the ground. So, it shouldn't be an issue. OTOH, if you did get caught, it could cause trouble for the dealership that printed the fake reciept.
Better plan: Actually buy the part, don't put it on, and return it after inspection, provided CT doesn't catch it. If the CT mechanics do catch that you don't have one, you can say that you must have forgot that component, and then get it re-checked.

Thats a great idea! Thanks Alot. I guess my next question is, will Canadian Tire want a bill of proffessional laobr or do they also accept ordinary folks to do the conversion? Thanks
