are they banning new registrations on rhd cars in ontario?
Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a rhd car (rx7 or mr2) most likely....and I read on some other forum that they are going to ban all new registrations in ontario.
Yeah, I could just call MTO but thought I'd post here since there doesn't seem to be any recent rhd posts anyways.
Also read that most insurance companies are now turning down these cars as well....are my dreams of owning a rhd 3rd gen going to go down the tube?

generally from what i see for insurance your rhd car is considered a collectable So you need to find that type of insurance company
And only in Quebec they are not allowing any new registrations

I insured mine through the same company Ive been with since 16. It took about a week for them to figure it out. They ended up adding a bunch of 0's to the end of the vin and it's classed as a rx-7 4 cylinder. I pay less money for full coverage on it than I do with my Turbo II $78/month for the 3rd gen $116/month Turbo II. It's kinda funny... They have no Idea how to class it or what it is.

if you don't mind send me a pm with the insurance company you're with. they seem to have great rates. im 35 and pay the same on my 2000 honda civic as you do on your TII.
this is all good news. thanks guys
