That's a nice manifold. But the flanges look pretty thin. Are they at least 1/2"?

they don't need to be thicker than 3/8".

might be able to get away with it ... but because of the rotary heat ... you could potentially warp them. An extreme video but should tell you how hot they can run you can fast forward to 1:55

More specs on that turbo (looks like a turbonetics t70) and what car is this going in and what are you gonna be using it for? Also, what size is that wastegate?

thanks!

The rotary pushes far more exhaust heat then piston engines. Under boost that manifold will run white hot. Cruise EGTs are around 1600 degrees. 3/8" is really pushing it. As Sam said it may hold up, then again it may not. You'll find most if not all of the aftermarket manifolds for rotary use are 1/2" or larger.

Damn nice manifold, one of the nicest I’ve seen in these parts!
Looks like some nice quality stainless you have used, I’m sure it will stand up, good job…

wow manifold looks ****ing sick. those are some sick fab skills. i think the thickness should be fine. although they do run extremely hot.

one other thing, is that 3/8 cold roll by any chance? cause if it is then there should be no problems.

i've seen that video before. that is a pretty extreme case. i don't think this manifold will see more than 400hp so i'm sure it will be fine.

Beautiful car. Ditch the 38mm wastegate. Buy a 50mm +

I like the porschesque look...

i think the wg is a 46mm, but when i measured the flanges they are 38mm. i'm not sure how tial designates the wg size, maybe it is because the valve is that large?

you can checkout the build here: http://www.teknotik.com/jdmrides/for...ad.php?t=15331

That is the best manifold I've seen in ontario! Nice work.
