Tell Joe what you did today

Hey Joe,

So I was up working in Pinawa Atomic Energy plant and I come out the front door at 4:30 to go home and there's a deer eating snow beside my truck . I open the door to go and it starts sniffin' in the back seat . I had a Burger King bag with some old fries in it so i drop them in the snow . he dives after them , lifts his head and sneezes deer snot all over the leather jeep seats .... what do you need to clean deer snot .

I'm going to say Spray Nine. It cleans anything off of anything. (I make no promises about anything it might do to your leather.)

Hey Joe,
Today I bought used set of summer rims and tires for my crappy protege. 3 of the tires are brand new and the rims are motegi, although a little dinged up. $300. I'm happy, although I think I counted the 20s wrong and gave them an
extra one. Oh well, $320. You'd think I'd be more careful.

Hey Joe,
Yesterday I bought 4 used ALMS tires. 2 are Michelins, 2 are Dunlops. I think the the OD is too large for my FC and the Dunlops are incredibly wide (340), I think from a DB9. The Michelins are 265s. Both fit 18" rims. There is still usable tread on all of them. I'll post pics later. I'm not sure what to do with them. I was thinking something ornimantal, but I'm open to suggestions.

Hey Joe,
On the weekend I was looking at a pair of used Sparco sprints with harness in good condition. It's a good deal, but I only want 1. Anyone interested in the other seat and harness for ~$150?

Hey Joe, today I was installing the EGT and wideband gauges into my car, and then when I went to wire the wideband into the LT-8 and datalog, my laptop wouldn't connect to my computer. Tried messing around, then realized the light wasn't even coming on on the LT8 and the engine wouldn't crank over! After checking the fuse a couple times and ~gasp~ even questionning your wiring job, I realized I had a dead battery. I is teh lose. BTW, yes I did survive that trip back, barely. Every hour or so, I'd figure meh, this isn't so bad, and end up sideways on 11 at 80 km/h.

I hate mis-counting a bunch of $20 bills...lol

Hey joe.

Today I decided I really wanted to get tearing my parts FD apart.

So I loaded it up on my dolly and brought it to my garage. Then realized I had nowhere to put it, so I figured I'll scrap a DSM I've been meaning to get rid of for a week or two.

So, I unload the FD (it has no front suspension, which makes things difficult) - and load the DSM, which also has no front suspension, which makes things REALLY difficult due to where it was sitting... but by around noon I've got it figured out.

Then I remembered I was supposed to donate blood today. So I went and did that.

Got home and realized that strenuous activity after donating blood is frowned upon, but there's a DSM still blocking my driveway and a destroyed FD sitting on a railroad tie on the road infront of my garage, and my neighbors probably won't like that as much as I do. So I go to the junkyard to dump off the POS DSM. Luckily that was reasonably adventure free.

Then I went back home, moved the FD, and surfed the internet for a bit, trying to find a good deal on an FD rebuild kit.

yay.

Hey Joe,

Today I went to take my Rx-7 for a spin. Its really cold out, but the roads are still clear as it hasn't snowed.

Unfourtunately I didnt get to drive because the battery died and my hood is frozen shut. Go figure.

On the way home, I went to find the block heater cord on my Land Rover and the hood latch broke, forever encasing the engine bay.

Yeah, she's all good. Hey, I just placed my order with Shine for all my body parts (FC2k bumper, sides, front fenders, carbon diffuser) so I may have to get ahold of those guys near you for the body work! Oh, and I just got a new turbo off ebay for cheap, it's a precision SC6152E, uses a 0.60 A/R comp. instead of my 0.5, and it uses the exact same compressor wheel as a GT35R, so I'm going to swap the coldside onto my turbo, throw the meth to 'er and pump up the boost!

BTW, I also might need to get ahold of Ivan next summer to get a bit of tuning done, I have a pretty good idea of what I want for it, but I'd like to get him to go over it afterwards.

Yeah he's on the forum here, doesn't post very much though. I'm sure he'll be posting pics of his project as we go along with it.

Alright back on track.

Hey Joe, today I couldnt get the **** started. Flooded it real bad last time, took the plugs out and cleaned them with a torch, put them back in, CHARGED THE BATTERY (haha) and she still wouldnt fire. I compared my Crank and idle maps to other base maps, and it should do it, even at this temperature, but she just wouldnt go. Tell Dan to bring his big bitchin van up here to bump me!

that`s what I figured, but on a solid, long crank, its only showing 13-13.5 AFR, which isn`t OVERLY rich for a rotary. And I compared my crank map to HimniRacing`s, and it was pretty similar (his being a streetported S5) Is cleaning plugs with a torch recommended?
