St. Catharines/Niagara 1st Gen Sightings:

Alright, who are you:

Red 1st gen. Looks to have custom front air dam, parked at Geneva and Queenston Saturday night around 7.

Dark-coloured (grey? blue?) 1st gen, getting gas at Merritville & 20, Sunday Morning around 7AM.

There's also a primered 1st gen I saw running around St. Kitts a couple of weeks ago.

Post up if you own any of these cars.

Deemo: welcome aboard, nice car. What are the specifics on that air dam?

Busy trying to win a second auto-x championship

Ya, its davies old car, the one that blew a buick to smitherines.
the airdam is the old CP racing car, Chris', from wayyyyy back.
Its a hacked up fiberglassy thingy, but you can run a huge intercool in it,
as most know from seeing it on Chris' car.

I knew the car totalled a buick, through Jesse, who i bought the car from, who bought it from Dave. Any other stories about this car? who swapped the manual in? CP? I'm new to rotaries, but I've worked on my fair share of other cars, and would love to know what prompted some of the things done on the car the way they were. Still figuring out the carb, and why it runs so well with all the vacuum leaks.

It is an Auto swaped car, done by CP racing. The Buick took most of the nose apart, hence why the bumper supports are on an angle.

The carbis lacking the secondarys, I doubt there hooked up, we never got enough vacuum to pull them. If you take all the crap off, and use some really thin wire to link the primary and secondary linkage, you should make way more power.

The interior was pulled obv. for weight, just before the 2002 Ottawa meet.
I can check if Dave still has a pic from it, or if there are some at my parents.
The car looked sweet when it was washed and waxed, you can actually see silverrotor's old car in a couple of the pics.

The holes in the sides of the body where your feet go were for speakers that never made it in, but sure do look ugly!

The solid engine mounts were to replace cracked ones.

Anything else you want to know? I work with Dave, so I could even give you an exact timeline of when things were done.

Feel free to give me a call, Rena has my number, or you can get it off the S1DC guys.

Oh, and you can definitely feel when the secondaries kick in. I didnt test how much vacuum there is, but I'd imagine if the secondaries weren't working at all, the car wouldn't run as well as it does. Although getting a new carb and manifold has crossed my mind many times, just to get rid of that mess.

Yes I am!

A sterling isnt a bad upgrade, but youll be stuck with the stock manifold and the bunk currently with it.

The Holley kit is nice, but you need the racing beat kit, but its worth almost as much as the car.

Really, I'd pick up Erics Dad's Fc, would make sonsiderable power over your current setup, proly keep up with any car in the shop right now, save for the V8 beast.

PITL, won C-stock last year, have been workin my *** off to pay for ****, with inflation being so high as of late.

As well, I've found an old old old pic of the Dave's FB, Ill scan it and put in on when I can find a colour scanner! It's got some excelent history in it, featuring such greats as PDday, the red head Miata guy, and Arron Cake!

Have fun, it will be a thristy weekend for you and the car.

I rarely go to No frills as I don't have the rx7 out. NO job, NO Toy policy....
I'd go there on labour day weekend as it gets packed.

Ya, my buddies uncle was at Dayna (sp?), got laid off a couple months ago.
Have you tried Rexroth or the Glendale plant?

Pitl is now at the Bramalea Go-Train Station, in brampton.

www.wiredmotorsports.com

Its pretty sweet, I'll be up there saterday, working on the car for the rest of the week to have it ready.

I didnt know he sold the miata! It was that blonde he was seeing wasnt it?

As well, Dave (defprun) has an S5 he's trying to get on the road, needs rear brakes and shocks/springs.

We are hurting for people too:

Can-Eng.com

We are mostly looking for project leaders, or guys with electrical experience (drawing and/or building panels).

Plus, it never hurts to have another rotor-motor in the parking lot.

CanEng still around? They design and build furnaces for industrial applications last I heard, but hurting for sales.

I left magna as a Program Manager for the Ford account.

We should meet up this Sunday at No Frills. around 9ish ? All Niagara region rotor heads. or anyone else...

Problem is my backround is mechanical and project engineering as opposed to electrical which Rexroth (Bosch) is looking for, Glendale is ? I don't want to buy a GM just to park in their parking lot and the whole automotive thing....

I still have my old stock S5 springs if Def needs it.

What time this Sat? running the 8?

2 of my friends just got hired on at Bosch, one electro/mech, the other has no electrical. Both make over 28 bucks an hour, which should be in your ball park to start out at I would imagine. BOth are Niagara grads as well, aren't you a P'eng.
Honda is also looking for a few good men, there's also eurocopter, I do know the HR lady, Id put a good word in for ya if you wanted.

Defprun does need springs, Ill go tell him now.

Ill be there around 8/8:30ish, runnning the 8. Not gonna lie, C stock has no-one this year so far, so I might bump up to c-plus. Ill feel it out on saterday. I may have a seat open if you wanted to ride up, but im offering it to Davie first, just cause he doesnt have a car on the road at all. Darn kid has to ride his bike to work. Ill let you know whats up later tonight.

Rich,

Sales have gone nuts lately. Lots of work going into europe and russia. I'll see if we're still accepting resumes and for what.

Saw the primer gen1 again today. I was coming through Allanburg in the B2000.

Saw a red 2nd gen yesterday, coming into the falls on 20. Vanity plate, but can't remember what it said.

My lil'sis is moving on Sunday, but if I'm back, I'll point at a no-frills. Which one, what time?
