I was thinking this too. Pieces that nicely crafted you want to be able to see when it's all done.

Wooooooo! so Ivan and I got it fired up last night for the first time.

Now its time to clean up the harness, finish wiring gauges, install the downpipe, bleed the clutch, bleed the brakes, gear clamp all the I/C couplers, clearance the hood for the valve cover....alll the little **** that takes the most time.

Pics to come....

Since you went trough all that trouble with the oil pan why didn't you just go with a dry sump?
and just to clear things up, are you telling me you took out an engine that you can literally red line for ten minutes before it blows for an engine that if you hit red line the lifters literally pop out?

RB's are junk.

Dry sump costs money

and yes broken rocker arms are easier to change than broken apex seals lol

^Haha

So the car is fully together finished and running now, my buddy has been driving it for a few days and loves it.

Its nice driving an FC with some bottem end grunt to it lol.

I'm going to put the car on the corner balancing scales just to see how badly I've fucked up the weight distribution......if at all haha.

BTW does anyone here think that there is a market for a mount kit SR20>FC? I have received pm's from members here on the forum from all over the world who want to do this swap. Anyone else local want to do this?

I think there is a market for that. I'd be interested in one. Not local though!

X2 Its something I've considered in the past, and SR20's are incredably common here out west. Make it easy for people to put it in, and they will. 90% of swaps people think up dont get done simply because a person doesnt have a means to do it. Make a complete kit someone can just buy, and you'll sell craploads.

thats the great thing bout the internet, your market doesn't need to be local for you to make money. especially with rx7club bringing a lot of owners to your finger tips, you could always also try the non-rotary rx7 forums.

good luck with what ever you decide.

I gotta say if you're gonna do a motor swap on an rx7, that's the only motor I would go to. I'm sic of seeing the ls1 swaps. This is actually something that takes ***** to do. After the rotary the sr20 is my favorite motor anyway.
