Guys an emergency has arisen and I'm going to have to pull out of the Time Attack.
If its possible, my spot is available. I don't know if I can sell it or push it to another date. Howi, can you please advise?
I will however keep my promise and get lunch to you guys one way or another

I'm also going to have to pull out due to a family emergency sorry guys. I didn't have a track spot so nothing should change in that regard.

Even though I did not hang around much, I was surprised as well in the turn out. Maybe 10 Mazda's @ 1pm. I did however see 5 more rx7's heading towards Cayuga on my way out.
Hats off to the guys who showed up.
I must say that I liked the atmosphere a lot seeing guys doing what they love to do!
I hope nothing happens to prevent me from attending a full SRTA like it did for this event.

Not a problem Jim, sorry to hear that the some of the food went to waste. I guess that's what happens when you cater for guys who don't show up.

Weather was fantastic. A little sunburned but it was not to hot or too cold. Alot of nice cars was on the track (Competition is crazy) and nice to meet up with a few people i have not seen in years and hang out with the regular guys.

And Ya I thought that there would have been alot more mazda's showing up.

It was a great day on the track! The rx4 ran flawless even after a few off road excursions... I got more than a little sun burned. Lol! It was great to meet some new people and see the good old regulars too. Hopefully I'll make it to another event with a car that might be competitive.

I was also surprised with the small turn out. My car wasnt there but i was. Last year the rx7s were lined up on the grass and you knew something was going on. Yesterday i think there were 10 including the ones that were racing and they were sort of mixed in with all the rest. A great day none the less. I got the chance to go for a ride in both marco's 20b fd and buggy's rx4. Both were so much fun and so sweet, thanks guys.
For anyone who didnt make it, you missed out on great racing, nice cars, and good company.

Oh well, the turn out wasn't the greatest but my son had fun and it was a beautiful day for a drive. It was cool to see the Mclarens, Porsches and Ferrari rip it on the track.

It wasn't a Mazda meet - that's next event with Mazda Canada coming. This was just meant to be our Rx-7/rotary meet.

Don't forget there were a lot of us on that list there without our cars though.

Your more than welcome Howi!
I have never been to a SRTA event before, I really like the vibe and atmosphere. I was going to go CSCS, but after seeing the mature atmosphere, that changed my mind.
I am so looking forward to the next event.

Seriously, we honestly think Charles is the best track action photographer in the business. All the shots are jaw dropping good. While sorting through them, we are continuously shaking our heads in disbelief. We don't know how he does it, but man are we glad to have him on board.

Simply ridiculous....

All photos are back up online! All photos were re-compressed, ugly jagged lines removed. High-res photos also now available!
