ON Spring GTA meet?

So I was thinking if we start talking now, we might settle on a date and location for April, May or June.

The one at 400 and 7 last April was great. I think that was a joint venture with the RX8's. It would be great to do something like that again. Does anyone know if the RX8's are already planning some meet-up we can pile on to?

Sooner is better than later for me. Doesn't look like the RX-8 guys have anything in writing yet.

Also, I'm planning to go to the Sunday, April 6 CASC-OR Ontario Time Attack open house at Johnston Research and Performance in Mississauga (12 pm – 4 pm). Might be a convenient place to hang out. The 14-day weather forecast is 8 degrees and sunny.

Agreed, last year was great. April is always a toss up for weather.

Sure, you can bring your STI. Just have to park over with all the other non-rotaries.

These meets are fun but I have a low attention span and get bored if not enough 7's are present

I miss the old days where RX-7 Club had their big meet at Sherway Gardens.

Depends on weather and when I am taking my 7 out. But I will try to make it. If not, I will just show up in my 8

I want to get my tires installed before attempting to take the car out. But before anything like that can be done, gotta pray for good weather!!!

Yeah, the D&B meet is always a good time.
Sherway Gardens is always too busy.

For me it will depend on weather. I honestly can't see me getting my cars out this year until probably end of april or beginning of may.

I would love to meet the others. If the weather behaves, car should probably back on road next week or 2. I am waiting for all the salt to be washed off by the rain.

It was the last weekend in April last year and it was sunny and warm. Doubt the weather will cooperate like that this year.

Nah, I took the speed3 last year, and I'm going to do it again this year. My 7 gets such horrible mileage (about 350kms to a tank) and 12 hours on the road with a constant exhaust drone, no power steering or cruise control... no thanks.

The speed3 was plenty of fun on the curves of the dragon. If I were to ever take my 7 I'd want to trailer it down, but I'm not ready to do that yet.

Dude, an FD should get at least 500 km to a tank on the highway. I remember with my old 13b I was pushing 600 km to a tank on the US geared transmission on the trip down to DGRR.

My sister in law gets tickets for Wonderland. I was in the water park April 22nd 2013. This year is crazy. I just found my xmas tree in my snow bank. Apparently it was never taken and has been buried under the damn snow.

OK, so the last weekend of April is out. How are May 4th or 11th? Are there any conflicting race events those days? Open Houses? CSCS? Other time attack events?

It's not that bad. I drove my Rx-4 there and back at 4,000 rpm in 4th gear. I survived. It's all about the experience.
