Bit off topic, But does anyone know a GOOD mechanic in the K-W area?? All you guys with FD's I figure someone does.

I would put the JIC's on myself,, but i dont have enough time with exams comign up.

SO, I need an install and proper alignment done.

Anyone got ideas??

Putting on the suspention your self is a breeze, save the labour costs and just pay for that alignment. Should only take you half a day (other half for beer) to swap them out, You can go to parts source and rent the spring compressor for free to get them off.

If your short on time get someone to give you a hand, i always like the satisfaction of knowing i do things myself., but if you cant......i dont know of any shops in KW hahaha wow i was a lot of help!

Sure Jim! But I really haven't planned on the dates. I definitely won't make it to the one on April 8th, I have an exam that day

But, why are you coming to watch? Aren't your FD gonna be ready soon?

Sorry Bryan, can't help you here. I do all the work myself and have never been to any of the so called "rotary specialist" shops. BTW, I saw you right in front of UW on university ave. going westbound yesterday at around 6:00pm!

Ya it should be really simple, not to mention considering how new the 8 is. But he shouldn't need a spring compressor. Bindon bought JIC coilovers, which should come with upper pillow ball mounts. The coilovers should replace the entire suspension.

Yeah, I got most of it done, but the problem was I had to undro the upper A arm to get the shock body out, and I had no tools that I could use to properly reach behind the shockbody to do it, so I didnt wanna fiddle with it, exams are more important for now

I guess you caught me on my way back. Thanks a lot for the compliments man! What were you in? I did not notice any 7's that day.
haha. you didn't see a 7 because i wasn't in one.
i was driving a plain-jane beige/champaigne Honda Accord. i'm not even sure what year it is, because it's my brother's car. i think it's like a 96 or 97.

you have a nice car.hahaha, from a distance in the rear view, i thought maybe your car was a gunmetal s13 240sx..not until you were practically right behind i looked again and thought, "oh shiet, it's a gunmetal FD."

my 7's dead..still in the long process of getting it back up and running.

It looks okay...ahem ahem.... but I wonder how it drives...

Yes the coilovers go in with one shot, but to take the stock springs out you need to compress them. When in the car they are at full tension, youll never pull them out unless you compress them first.

Funny, I compressed them fully and it didnt help for **** all.. not too sure why.

I assumed that the shock would compress with it and it woudl be a matter of just lifting it out :|

I havent taken the leap yet, but the "deal" was basically the same price as on his site, so i dont know about that one!!! I may still grab them, i just dont like the spring rate of 12/12, id have to go down to 12/10
