So who's gonna go watch 4 Fast 4 Furious?
I know we're all RX7 guys so it puts us in a higher class than everyone else but the little boy/girl in us still know in our hearts that we want to watch it. I know i am but i'm slightly upset i haven't seen an FD in any of the advertisements. I can never defend these movies but i'm sure all of us have watch the previous ones and probably own all of them. Just wondering on what everyone's thoughts are on this movie
I watched most of the first one, but have only seen bits and pieces of the subsequent ones. No loss - they are amongst the most excreable products of Hollywood's b-movie crapfest. Plots and acting so thin you could get a wicked cut off them. Non-existent understanding of cars and racing and tuning - and physics. Which is fine in a comic book movie like Batman, but just seems a bit hard to swallow in something that on some level is supposed to be in the real world, even for Hollywood. Plus, I have a sneaking suspicion I've already seen all the best bits of the movie in the tv ads and trailers. Been to too many like that.
Why won't this franchise die? Beyond a bunch of shots of cool cars being smashed and abused, it feeds both fool teen racing fantasies, and general public perceptions that street racing is everywhere, leading to crap legislation like Ontario's street racing law. But apart from all that, I suppose I don't see what's not to like

there is so much hate for these movies. They are garbage, i agree. But they are fun to watch. scantily clad women, a couple nice cars in amongst alot of rice. Im going to see it with a bunch of locals. We are using it as an excuse to have a car meet tomorrow. Plus, im running out of stupid lines to quote.
i just hope its better then tokyo drift, hopefully they're not puttin in some random texas kid in it and teaching him how to race through out the whole movie.

GOING to watch it? No. I will wait until it comes out on the movie network or whatever Bell calls those channels. I won't spend extra money when I'm sure it could be better spent on a can of Seafoam, or a spare alternator belt.

orion84gsl i just clicked on the link in your signature you have a beautiful FB. But back to the thread. Honestly something tells me we'll have another 4 more fast and furious movies. Personally i'll probably watch it next week so some moron doesn't try to do a burnout and smash into my car in the parking lot. But i will watch it with my cute Asian girl that initially noticed me because of my fast and furious looking car. Say what you want to say but having a nice car is a great icebreaker and movies like this promote them.
Personally, I don't care for fnf4 neither, just an excuse for members meet. But if you are going to see this movie, you're gonna see it with bunch of other sausages.
So its either rx7 club sausages or honda club sausages.

i am going to see it with my dad. i love car movies i allways loved tuner cars i hope they arnt all flat colour because they look so unfinished. like alot of kids in my area with there sunfires and there auto trans with twin tip mufflers
Im too old for that ****. I still remember when car movies had real cars doing real stunts etc. You know when cars didnt upshift 27 times etc lol. The movies like "LeMans" or "Grand Prix", those are great car movies..................
Ive never even heard of these movies. I will have to check them out!
I'll be seeing it but probably next week or so. I remember went tokyo drift came out, a few honda guys we're trying to drift infront of the theater ... didn't work out so well lol.
I personally don't go there to really judge a movie, I go there for a bit of entertainment. I know what i'm paying for isn't real, but its fun.

I'll probably watch it after its been out. I've done well so far on my campaign to see, but not pay for, FnF "films".

Im with 01racing, nothing like the old HollyWood car movies.
Dirty Mary Crazy Larry > Bullet > White Line Fever > Hell even Smokie & the Bandit
were more realistic than what they are spewing out today.

I have "THE" car chase scene on my laptop...and its way more realistic because there wasn't any other way to do it!
Just had to strap in, and mash the loud pedal

I watched it last night and it was terrible and not the good kind of terrible like the first three were you watch it and make fun of the stupid quotes and cars. They tried to put some serious story line behind it and it was awful, their was 2 or 3 races in the movie and one quote. Take it from me who learned it the wrong way, wait until it comes out on DVD or something cheaper.
