well, pictures speak louder than words...

this is on 4 nearly-bald tires (worn to about autox depth), snow was between 6 and 8" deep.

I heard you guys got quite the dump out there. My dad lives in ottawa and he was describing the havoc.

Guess I'll have to settle with a chinook on sunday.

Looks like fun!!! Oh how I miss my Jeep YJ. That thing could plow through a foot and a half of packed snow without a problem and with that wonderful 4L engine, it could drift with the best of them, in the snow anyway. I should never have sold that, but I got the next best thing, a 97 t-bird with V8 power and RWD.

yeah, the talon needs more clearance.

I hope I can find a rally suspension for it - I'd love to lift it an inch or two.

Damn makes me think i should get some shots of my DSM... about the closest i could post would be a WET roadcourse shot. not quite snow.
As much fun as the talon is in the winter i still think i had more fun in an old fiero... These days im almost ashamed i used to own one, but it truly was a fun car, and had suprisingly good winter manners.

Back to the AWD DSM's, with a little work and a good icy lot ive gotton mine to rotate in place, was a pretty cool sensation.

you don't need ice to make it rotate in place...

wet works, even dusty dry pavement...

just turn the wheel all the way to the left, add throttle and time...

I have a video of mine spinning like a top on wet (slushy) pavement, its not on the computer though... I'll post it up if I can get it on here.
