Angry Smokin....then not

87 Tll, ported, S5 turbo
Car has been running great all summer......till now.
Car was sitting all day, and I went to get gas. About 1/2 mile away, stopped at a light (long light), and soon started to smell something. Glanced in my rear view, and couldn't see anything for this cloud of smoke behind me. Pulled away and it didn't seem bad, but when I stopped again it got worse. Shut it off in the driveway and re started, and it continued to smoke, maybe not quite so bad. Held rpm at 3K and wasn't quite so bad but still there...back to idle. The got 2 sets of 5 beeps, the continuous single beeps. Drove it around for about 15 minutes, and it got less and less...then it would idle without a puff.

Started it the next day and we are smokin again. Otherwise the car seems to run fine! Lots of power, feels normal.

Ideas??

Could be you over filled the motor oil... turbo oil seals going... you have a broken coolant seal/bad housing.

Does it have a sweet coolant smell to it? or a sharp pungy smell?
color also helps too and check that your coolant doesnt have exhaust gases in it

Amur - Smoke is almost white, but I'm pretty sure its oil.

Never thought of the turbo as a cause, I'll check the IC pipes today.

Thx
