shipping in canada

I was wondering the best way to ship a engine and tranny crate from calgary to a small town in manitoba?? It seems like the only company that will do this for me is DHL as this is private shipping, is there any other suggestions that would be cost effective. thankyou.

Send it with a trucking company - I know some local rally guys who've shipped engines, tranny's, etc. Canadian Freightways is one I remember being recommended, and a lot cheaper than couriers, even DHL.

When I got my engine and tranny from RPM, they just went to a freight company and had it sent via a trucking company. They put it on a pallet, shrink wrapped it up and no problem.
Cost $200 to ship it from Ontario to Halifax, and I got it in 3 or 4 days.
