See ya later!

Been messing around the FC's for the last 2 years, and after 6 of them... I think it's time to move on. Last weekend, my motor went in the daily driven one and although I had a spare motor, I felt that it was a good time to part from the rotary scene hence my part out thread in the classifieds section. It has been a good run, and I miss driving them very much (hurted a little parting them out). Plan is to just get a "normal" car to drive everyday, every month... basically a proper daily driver and leave it at that until next Spring. Just moved into a house after 7 months of renting so I want to settle down and "modify" the house/garage. Not sure what I will be in for a toy car next year but I strongly doubt it'll be an RX-7 of any sort. Cheers.

I agree with the previous comments. You'll be back dude, you may think you won't, but you'll get sucked back in....get your priorities looked after for now and when you're ready again, find a decent RX7 with no coolant issues and crap like that and enjoy the rotary for what it truly is. Good luck!

Ahaha, for the last 2 days. I've had guys from the club come over to buy parts and try and suck me back in... offering to let me drive their cars or ride shotgun (which I gave into). Boy do I miss it, but I think it's time to move on. I'll be in touch with a few people I have met through this club and now have became regular friends with them.

You guys are *********. Just when I'm trying to get out of the scene... You people start bringing out your RX-7s. Saw a sexy red FD with black VSXX today and a 10AE with odura lip and some sort of sideskirt, very clean. Blah!!!!

It's a sign. An omen.

Get yourself a first gen. I've had the same one on the same engine taking all the abuse I can throw at her since late 05.

I miss the sound and the feeling soo bad! I sort of gave in... after more than 3 weeks, it felt REALLY good to be in a RX-7 again.

Video will sum it all up aha.

See. You can't leave. It's like a secret fraternity. Once your in, your in, and it may just cost you dearly if you try to leave. Muahahahaha

Just a thought here...

You aren't going to gain any respect from members of the RX7 community by continuing to purchase cars and butchering them out. Now if a car has a rotted floor or blown motor then maybe, just maybe thats fine, forgive me if I don't know about the facts on why you're parting out each of the four FC's.

I was going to pm you about a few small items I need but then decided why should I support someone who appears to be taking cars that someone might make use of as they are and part them out leaving less and less examples of our cars on the road. If you need money then get a better job.

The last 7 I bought (it in fact looked exactly like the black one above but auto) I fixed the brakes, replaced a couple bulbs and bushings and flipped. It was alot more satisfying seeing someone excited buying it and know it was going to be on the road for sometime to come. As far as I can see you're the rotary Kevorkian, euthanizing 7's before their dead.

Anyone could've bought any car I bought. I wasn't going to stop them. I can understand what you're saying without being hostile but at the same time. Like it is your opinion, I don't see what is wrong with what I'm doing. None of these cars I bought were in running condition or safe for the road with minor repairs. I got to enjoy them for a couple years and I had plans to make a really good one but other priorities came up. If people are willing to buy the cars as they sit or shells before i strip them further, they are welcome to make an offer.

The black fc does have a rusted floor (and prob not worth fixing it to be safetied). He bought it coz it has a really strong running motor,
Mint black int and mint tail lights.
Jason, if it makes you feel any better... I've purchased his maroon shell (prob will change the colour as well) to start a project w/ Hai.
I wanted to transfer everything from my red fc to this shell.

George, thanks for providing more details that cast Dao's intentions in a better light. And on that note, I need a few things!
