Saw a rather unique 1st gen...

There I was leaving a client site when I hear that distinct sound of rotary.... saw this 1st gen go by... poor thing looked like it seen better days...
Can't really tell by the pic (really hard to piont and shoot while driving) but it had a barfy looking yellow paint job on it with 2 black stripes from front to end...

Anybody seen any other unique RX-7's on the road yet???

still alive! just working my *** off.. we are building a new house in stouffville and move in Aug. the GSLSE is still in storage... might get some action on it soon as i will finally have a double garage and enough parking on the driveway.

i've been driving the jeep for a while now and kinda got the 4x4 bug so the poor car has been neglected a little... now that i hear can-jam is back i am seriously considering getting it back in shape. i still get the urge to wave at first-gens when they go buy but it would look pretty stupid from the jeep haha

You seem like a nice guy Max, personally I would have been a little pissed about people making fun of my car. I am in Newmarket daily maybe I'll see you around. Enjoy your ride and ignore the haters.

WankelingBeer,

You Ottawa guys crack me up! lol ;-) I'll get you back for that at the Ottawa meet!

maxvol,

I was surprised to see any rotaries around our area... Good to hear you're having fun with it... the paint on the car actually reminds me of the same colour BMW uses for it's M3... That barf looking colour, however, when the light shines on it right you can see alot of golden flakes reflect... ;-)

Lawyer's Spirit,

I didn't see anyone mention hate??? Did anyone else??? I felt kinda sorry for the car but I didn't say I hated it. I was very surprsied to see it running around in my area...
So what RX-7 are you running around in nowadays?? Or are you on the waiting list for that Aston you wanted???

I guess my english needs improving, based on the above quotes I didn't realize you really liked his car! For the record I wasn't speaking only about your comments.

As you know I am in the process of parting out my car..are you trying to make a point? With or without owning a 7 I'll still probably get more time behind the wheel of a rotary than you

If I play my cards right 3-4 yrs I should be in a position to spend some nice coin on the right car.

Lawyer's Spirit,

Well, just because I don't like the paint job, doesn't mean I don't like the car...

I was unaware of your parts car... I hardly go to the Buy/sell section... Sorry to hear, or is that good to hear seeing as how you might be on the waiting list for that Aston!! You know, you better get on the list now! There's a 2yr wait as it is for that sucker!!!
Just to let you know, the Vantage is being upgraded and renamed as I type this... so you might want to wait for that model to come out instead...

Evilrotor,

I expect some crazy Gulosh next time!!!

Lates,
Thanks, some one told me that it looked like that but who ever painted my car never put on a clear coat and all the paint is flaking off Im going to paint it Mate black but for now I dont really care as long as id drives Im happy.

But the story behind my car is simple.. about a year ago I had a 2000 Tiburon with a decent ammount of mods acctually just threw a turbo in it after getting all my pistons and rods changed and then the unthinkable happened someone stole my tibby at that point I needed a car to drive and because of my friend J who owns an 87 RX I started to be interested but I wanted to stand out and have a first Gen at this time I was working at ONTARIO AUTO where earlyer I have seen this car.. I told the owner that I will make a few Jobs to trade for the car cause i needed an everyday driver so I have been driving it even since, recently I got a RB road race header, took off the Rats nest and in the process of changing my interior for a black one... and the saga continues
