I'm leaving now. I should be there right around 9:30.

I don't think my car will melt. :-)

Sorry JNew I was there till around 9:40
Then waited till 10:00 just north of the 403 just before the roundabout under construction. What a F@#king mess around there.
If we do this tomorrow we'll figure out a better place to meet! Text me, I'll PM everybody Later

RXeckless, I got off the Highway at 9:28 and would have been there at 9:30 if it weren't for the road closure. By the time I re-routed through Paris, I got to Tim's at 9:40. We must have missed each other by less than a minute.

It's too bad no one showed. It really didn't rain much and the sun poked out a few times on the way there. It wasn't a total loss; I replaced my water pump, radiator and steering idler this week, so it was a good shakedown cruise.

Are we going to try again Sunday? Looks like a beautiful day: 18 and sunny by the lake.

I'm more than willing to show up tomorrow if everyone else can make it.

It was great to be able to meet you guys and put names and faces to the forum names.

I'm glad my little 'SE could keep up with the big guys. It was refreshing to be in a group that shift at redline most of the time.

October's a busy month for me but I'll try my best to get to another meet if I can!

It was a great drive – I haven't pushed my car like that all year. RXeckless and JNew can really rocket with their naturally aspirated rotaries!

This is the route my friend mapped out a few years ago: https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/44.00...fd502c!1m0!3e0

Maybe meet at that starting point: Esso at Bloomington and Highway 48 at 9 am.

We had lunch at Trading Bay Dining Company in Dorset: https://tradingbaydining.com/index.html

Petro-Canada Ultra 94 is available in Gravenhurst and Port Perry. I'll look for more fueling options along the route.

I ran the route alone this morning – no construction or problems on the road and most of the road surface was new. I recommend driving it while everything remains clear.

There is another Petro-Canada with Ultra 94 in Huntsville. They are few and far between in the Kawartha Lakes / Highland area, but you can find Shell, Esso, and Ultramar stations along the main routes. I made it back to Toronto with 1/3 tank without refilling anywhere.

The Trading Bay Dining Company closes in November – it's best to call ahead if you're thinking of stopping by as you pass through Dorset.
