RX7 guys are the best!

We went out to test yesterday and bed in some new tires, brakes etc. Mike (HEVNSNT) drove all the way from Waterloo to Shannonville to help out and arrived just in time to see me blow an apex seal! This was at about 6:30 last night, remember we were in Belleville. My volunteer crew followed me back to the dealership and by 11:00pm the engine was out and on my work bench. My engine builders Mark and Kam from Mazmark Auto we here at 7AM to tear it down and find out what went wrong. We leaned it out too much and detonated an apex seal. I called Joe at RPM and he loaned me a gasket set, Hylomar and he had a set of Carbon seals which to get me running again. Right now my crew chief Chris James is cleaning all the parts, Mark and Kam will be back here at 2pm to reassemble the engine. If all goes well we will be racing tomorrow at Mosport. I just cant thank everyone enough for all their help, dropping their plans to get it done. Mike was awesome and I hope he knows how much I appreciate his helping us pull the engine last night!

Well its 1015 and the car is on the trailer! Chris, Mark and Kam and the rest of the team really came through. From the motor being torn down at 7am this morning to meeting Joe at his shop for to get seals etc, and Mark and Kam reassembling it, that was amazing! Thanks again for everyones help!

Nice to see it back in action. I say you go EFI so that this will never happen again.
