Ian,

Me and Rob are going down together in one of our cars, but we should all roll together, it would be a lot more fun.

Do you HAVE to sign up to events to hang out at this event? I dont plan to drag/road race, just watch.

Last year I stayed in a room in Lees Hotel with Aaron. I certainly didn't book the room 5 months in advance. It was a decent hotel and it was pretty affordable. I don't know if the revolution guys have the hotel deals worked out, but if/when they do you'll be able to get a discount. In the end it wasn't particularly expensive, but I guess that's partially condsidering that my car is pretty good on gas.

I doubt you'll be board. You don't need to sign up for any events to have fun, but I suppose it doesn't hurt. Last year you the event started dinner time on Friday, but you wouldn't have missed much if you simply showed up sometime friday night.

Too many things could happen between now and the revolution, so I'm not going to book a hotel yet.

So does anyone know if you have to pay to watch the racing/cars? And do you have to regester to watch?

THIRTEEN HOURS!?!?! hm, I wonder if my car will be able to run constantly for that period of time...lol

Well, if all things go well with the tuning, I don't see a prob with that. I may ask a friend to ride with me so that we can switch up the driving "chores."

If I attend (which I probably will) I'll more than likely have to take my non-rotary powered vehicle. For the simple fact it will make it that far. And Back.

Even if I have my car done, it will *just barely* be done, and I don't feel like driving to Revolution on non-broken engine with an untuned EMS. So I'll be taking the Insight (if I ever get it back from Honda...) regardless.

I think i will be leaving Thursday night 10pm from toronto. Miss the traffic. Hit up indianoplis and pass out for a few hours before the Rotary and piston Drag racing. If I'm driving that much for a weekend I want to be there for the whole thing!

Its a 3 Day drive for me. About 30 hours total time with no stops. I've done the drive a few times to Toronto from here, its about 4 days or so. So Im used to it. Its just my 7 will never make it there. And even if it did, they'd laugh because its in such bad shape body wise. As much as I'd love the 7 to be there, I'd love to be there. And if I take my 7, I ain't gonna make it that far......

However if this were in June, I'd have my RX-8 and I could take that.

At the speed you drive, I would suggest leaving at about 6 pm. Don't forget to put cheap gas and the exhaust butplug into your 400whp FC.

Im going to probably trailer my RX-7 behind my Sportage if it can pull the weight. Thats my most likely course of action. That way when I trash my RX-7 on the track, I dont have to hitch-hike home.

I figure the drive will be 2 days hard driving.

So, as the even draws nearer and nearer, are there still only a handfull of us Canadians attending? Has anyone else made solid plans?

I booked my hotel about 2 weeks ago. Sadly, I will be in the 2nd hotel, but it seems that with the attendance this year, both hotels will be nearly filled with rotary enthusiasts, so the sucky 2nd hotel probably won't be as sucky.

I'm planning to show up Thursday night, which should give plenty of time for a nice easy drive down. I plan to make the whole trip in one tank of gas, so I'll be sticking to the speed limit. Also have a few errands to run on Thursday night...

Looks like a good event schedule this year. The only thing I regret is that because I'm a guest and not a primary attendee, I won't be able to autox the Insight. Oh well, I doubt that it will be boring.
