Rotary compression tester?... ( Calgary )....

does anyone have a rotary compression tester i could borrow?...

on the dyno today the car got thrown into a completely random lean spot @ 5500rpm as i made my final pull, the AFR's were perfect until this run when something random happened....

in conclusion, it resulted in a massive "PING", but each face of the rotor is getting the same compression, but to confirm or deny what i'm thinking, i need to do a compression test....

so if anyone has one for me to borrow in calgary, let me know, i'll give you collateral (sp?) or whatever needed....

If it's peace of mind you're looking for, don't go crazy looking for a rotary compression tester. Use a regular compression tester with the check valve removed from the end of the hose. This method will allow you to see individual spikes for each rotor face.

I use the top ones usually, just for ease of access.

I know what hes talking about doing, it works. Compressiontesters have a check valve to hold the pressure in the tester. They also have a button to release said pressure.

If you hold the button or remove the check valve, It just bounces. This works best on NON-WATER filled gauges, as water filled guages are slow to respond.
