Roll Bar install for Solosprint

Some random pics of my roll bar installation being completed by Obrien Motorsports. Totally stripped and just the beginning of the design. Unfortunately no pics of it in progress but once I get the car back finished, I will post some pics.

Funny seeing my car totally stripped and all of the interior sitting in a pile.

Time to just leave the carpet and padding out for good.

hopefully the car will somehow be slower than 11.49.. hahahaha, yeah right.

So they're custom-building one?

Ya this design will be unlike the majority of the roll bars for rx7's. This one was built to look like fatory install and to make it as non intrusive as you can yet be legal for all types of class (Racing) and to also leave provisions for a full cage.

There's a beautiful testament to O'Brien's work at Canjam. There's nothing left to the car except the rollcage.

Some pics of the finished product.

Overall great work. I just hoped that the bar behind the seat was more curved since I can't fit well in the car. I need to sit gangster style!

Anyhow very few war wounds as far as scratches on the car. He took care! Which must take alot of work due to the amout of work involved.

what do you think?

Looks great. I'm looking forward to having mine in. Any chance a tire can fit in the space between the main hoop X-bars and the X-bar to the strut tower sitting on top of the bins?

Man, I would never do that **** to my car.

And now you don't even fit well...You should have just bought a track car.

Or picked his brothers up, it was already stripped . I'm sure Jay would have cut him an even better deal then what I got.

See, I think the car is even better now with the rollover protection.

Don't forget to wrap some areas with foam.

Ian should just put a giant Trojan over his body...that is enough protection.

I'm a geek...here's me attempting to simulate the rollbar design with various pieces of almost-straight items while test-fitting tires. :o

I think I might be able to pull it off since I've got a little more depth without the bins, and more room above the strut towers since I'll be cutting out the speaker pods.

Curtis, I hope you aren't reading this thread...
