Right hand Drive in Canada
Hello everybody, i dont own an rx-7 but i do plan to
first question: is driving a right hand drive (ontario) hard? Not as in shifting with left hand or what ever, but when turning right of left at the lights. I figured that when u stop @ the lights then u wait for a gap between cars to turn, u'd have less visibility with a right hand drive car. But how much harder is it?
second question: is it realistic to drive an rx-7 through out the year? So is it a stupid idea to drive one during winter or through toronto?
thank you

These questions come up like once a week.
I'd search if I was you, you'll find way more information than you'll get from this post.
Are you looking at buying a 1st, 2nd or 3rd gen rx-7? In general the newer they are the less desireable to drive them in the winter they are.
FD heaters basically don't work, and there's no way to fix them.

There are obviouse dificulties with a right hand drive in canada, first most obviouse is your left turns. or passing a car on the left with oncomming trafic. But this would only be a problem till you get used to the car.
Second, in normal cars your headlights are not configured at equal levels, Driver side is lowered as to not obstruct the upcoming truffic as much. With a right hand drive, your passanger headlight will shine higher bliding upcoming trafic, now this is not a huge issue and can most likely be adjusted. not sure if they even check that here.
i have driven my fb in winter, i heard people drive their fc's as well, never heard of a winter fd before though, you could be first, thing is, our motors are high rpm motors, knowing the winters in montreal, i would not be able to drive it 2/3 of the winter due to road conditions.
I know toronto roads are in much better condition, but here in montreal, in winter we get more potholes then i have ever seen, there are roads where even 4x4 jeeps have problems going on
correct me if i'm wrong here, alot of rx-7 are crashed when it rains, can you imagine it in winter. I took my fb once out this winter when there was not much snow, didn't crash, but turned back almost imediatly. It's not fun. i would say you have to be a very good driver, or not care for your car to drive an rx-7 in winter.
