Holy wow!

This is almost going to be bigger than Meeting of the Mazda's!

We are trying to get everything organized for the people who are getting the work done on their cars, making sure parts are in stock ect... Hopefully everything goes well.
Looking forward to meeting everybody

so just confirm I don't need to bring any food or drink? Just some cash is fine for me .

put me down for a couple of cheeseburgers, some chips and a couple beers.

Since we have everyone on the same page, Just bring at least 10 or a 20 dollars to the meet to contribute to the expense of food and drinks for that day. Whats gonna happen is the cruise line that started in Toronto at 9 30 will pick up food at the sobeys, M&M meats and drinks at the beer, lcbo stores before RPM. We ll grab however much we think is needed for the day, and once the bill is totalled see how much everyone should pitch in. Im making it sound more complicated than it is, but essentially it will be fair and the max you would need to put in is 20. Look at it this way, if we did have each member putting in 20, and we have 26 guys coming out, thats a budget of 520 dollars. THATS A LOT. If you have any recommendations on what you want let us know. Menu wil most likely be sausages, burgers, chicken, kebobs, snacks, soft drinks, and booze. PM if you hae any questions. O, and please let us know if you will be bringing guests.

Just noticed this now.... And I'm crazy enough that I may try to make the trip down

Unfortunately the spot where my 7 is stored is surrounded by a swamp right now... gotta wait a week or two before taking it out... or install a snorkel

So I'll probably be making the trip down in the Deathmobile (97 Sunfire Winter Beater)

Who ever makes it there this weekend ... you can look at my pretty engine bay, but please don't scratch her anymore than what i have ... pretty please ... Aaron if you make it there and feel like tuning it a bit you can do that (PM me if you feel like doing that and I can tell you what to hook up where on a battery and how to get it to start)

I don't think I'll be doing any tuning that day. Actually I was hoping to bring my RX-7 down and get some done on the highway during the drive (I have a lean spot at low RPM just before atmospheric, and the low RPM high boost areas are too rich) but since I currently only have suspension at 3 corners and no front brakes I'll be in the Insight.

Update: Just got back from RPM, most ridiculous, torturous ride back. I Hate Public Transportation. Had to take the Greyhound through Geulph and then to Toronto Union, and then the GO back to Markham. So ya, the new place looks awesome, the showroom is sweet. Got a chance to see the rims I wanna get on my 8 there, and one sweet Camaro. Talked to Dan and Joe.

Basically we should have enough time to do all the installs. IF THERE IS ANYONE ELSE THAT NEEDS SOMETHING INSTALLED, CALL RPM!!! And Dan and Joe have also decided on giving us a discounted labor rate for the day at $50 taxes in, really great of those guys. We were also talking about maybe setting up meets at RPM on the last weekend of the month during the summer, where people could come together to get stuff installed at a great rate. We can talk more about it at the meet. But ya, my car is now there awaiting powdercoating and the rest of my brake job to be completed.

ONCE again, if anyone has anything else to be installed, call RPM and let them know!!! Just so time can be allocated.

SALE SALE SALE!!!

Also guys bring a little extra, RPM will be liquidating a lot of stuff for our 8s. We're talking Tein Basic Shocks, Tokico D Spec, Swift Springs, a lot of stuff. They want to get the stuff out the door, so expect VERY good prices. We're talking stuff for both 7s and 8s.

Believe everyone was able to make it on that list, hard to say from the 7s, since I havent really met them all and know their usernames. Spd frk, Agent 008, rx smooth, and rotor whee werent able to make it out from the 8 club. Nonetheless a lot of rotarties did arrive, and it was awesome. I felt like the meet was offical made whenever I heard the engines revving. Not to mention the sound off between the engine revs.

Thanks to Geck69/Justin from Kingston to making the trip out. Great meeting you, hopefully you can help me with my lotek pod. It was great meeting millcham, and rx8thunder, man you bought a lot of stuff today, hope you enjoy it all. The mod bug seriously caught you, first it feasted on zerobio, and now you. Kris, the rims look badass, like the drag set up, once again the sound system is ridiculous. Footman, Natalia is back eh, sweet! Qwtre, I like the budget, haha, j/k. I do like the cobalt pads, very baddass. BrianGT, sweet rims man, love the stance on your 8 man. Darkbrew, lets hear some reviews about the suspension man. It was great meeting the regulars again, and the new people. RPM was working all day, thanks to their inhouse chef. Awesome bbq guys. I was actually stuffed. Once again thanks to everyone for pitching in to help out with the budget.

The day started with proficentone picking me up, and then we met up with millcham at hwy 7 and woodbine, shell station, where we also met our JDM 7 member, drezjdmrx7 . Took 404 down to the Fairview, made a pit stop at Sunoco to fuel up.

Then off we went to Fairview, we were already late, yes we were responsible for the chain effect.

And off we went to meet our Sauga boys, Kris, Qwtre and rx8thunder. And then off we went to Kitchener, managed to get one pick here.

Next stop, Costco as we pulled into the town of Breslau. Gotta grab the grub.

Gotta say, that was the funniest **** in the Costco guys. Proficientone and his bike riding. Neo, having to get us back on track, lol.

In the mean time, SOME INTERESTING INSTALLS OF THE DAY!

The ride back was interesting, we split into two groups, Footman, Kris Qwtre and Me, Proficientone +1, and drezjdmrx7. Footman went on his search for Shell, and finally met back with us at 7 11. Qwtre and Kris got tired and ditched him lol.

So we got on the 401, Qwtre gives me a call, says he saw Kris pull to the shoulder by Winston Churchill, so I said I'll check it out. Texted Proficientone and Footman on the drive, in between calls to Neo and Joe. And there we saw him, Kris on the side. Pulled over, and an crazy day, got even crazier.

Summay:
Kris pulled over since he felt his wheels rumbling. Found a flat on his rear passenger tire. We arrived. Told him not to use the gunk in the Emergency Flat Kit, or there goes the tire. Suggested he pump it back up, get off the ramp and take care. He called CAA. The smarties arrived with a tow truck not a flat bed. GREAT!!! Since the 8 is rear wheel, the pick up would need to reverse in, and then when it pulled out, pull a U turn, against incoming traffic. Brilliant Guys. However another tow came, they decided to block the lane, so it would be safe to jack and change the rim to the spare, that our JDM 7 bro had. We got shooed away, cause the people on the 401 had called the OPP. Thanks, lol.

Awesome meeting you guys, drezjdmrx7 sweet JDM ride man, and thanks for driving and helping Kris' out. O, and nice cruise back up the 401, lol. Hope you guys had a great time, looking to setting another one of these up, seems like the first was a success.

'twas a ton of fun, I really enjoyed the day. Crazy Ottawa-Toronto round trips for BBQs are great, I even stopped by the Steam Whistle brewery on the way back and grabbed a 6-pack!

Hopefully I'll get to see everyone again soon, I didn't get the chance to chat with many folks, but on the bright side plans are all in motion to get my FB down to Joe's next week for a ReSpeed steering rack conversion and some swaybar goodness

No problem...i just hope the 8 and it's owner recovers as soon as possible for this...those rims were sick..so now RX8 guys can't say RX7 guys hate on them...Love the pics from the "cell phone holder" to the gas station 1.34 a liter!! fitting that monstrous rim in my trunk was great I'm surprised it fit.
