Purchasing 13b REW

If someone were to purchase a used motor and did a compression test and a coolant system pressure test, would this be satisfactory to determine if the car is going to run for a few years?

Not worth the gamble for all the labor involved in replacing the engine.

If the comp. and water tests are good - chances are its a good engine.....FOR A CORE TO REBUILD.

I wouldn't run it straight off the pallet though. Freshen it up first.

With all the great engine builders that are part of this forum, you would be muich better off to have any of them rebuild an engine for you. Jim from Rotary Dymanics, Joe at RPM, Brent at BSC, Mark at MazMark and Im sure I have missed a few (no offence guys). It would be a lot cheaper in the long run I'm sure!
