Thumbs up pick-n-pull update

New arrival, "S4 TII", hood still on it with the plastic nose piece to the opning missing though. Engine moves, all still there, turbo, tmic, etc etc. 294,000 km on the speedo, body rough. White in color, first import row past the fords. Same low mileage fb still there, seats, hood & transmission gone. Motor turns.

Talking pulled!

While i was still a little tired from my sedatives today i got the great idea to go get the trans of this car, so my GF drove me down there. Some ******* hit mark new truck with his door but i got his plate as he drove away from the pick-n-pull parking lot. anyways

300$ got me;
a brand new starter
RC 780cc secondary injectors. (slaps forehead, theirs probably an aftermarked fuel pump that i forgot)
s4 TII trans that needs new sifter tower bushings
S5 turbo that has no play on the exhaust side and a little bit on the compressor side
S4 motor that is MINT, it was probably rebuild 30k-50k km ago.
the front cover inside is perfectly silver. the 2pc apex seals and rotor housings have no marks other then where the end piece rides, the corner seals all still had the plugs in them and with waffer springs. but there was one solid corner seal . came with RB oil pressure slug and i got vids of it turning over at 70psi compression on a piston style compression tester.

I suspect that their might have been a coolant leak b/c the turbo had white stains on it, and that the driver was new to standard, worn out shifter and blue flywheel/ pressure plate. flywheel was resurfaced when the engine was rebuild, i can even still see some of the flywheel grinder marks.

I'll probably port and rebuild the engine as is. maybe clearance the rotors. I'll replace the sifter tower bushing and finish the season on the junker S4 trans and rebuild my S5 over winter. same with the turbo.

I left the alt on the front of the car, the hood was missing the scoop. the brakes are still there as is the complete 5 lug rear end. seats are gone and most of the stereo. center consol trim still there but didn't check for cracks.

all in all not a bad day but i'm gunna have to work some overtime to make up for not going to work today.
