Peripheral Port is built!
The new engine is built. We spent until about midnight last night assembling the keg, now we just have to install the front cover and other small item. I actually have to give credit where credit is due. My team built the engine, I was allowed to go get dinner and watch. I guess they are all to aware of my mechanical abilities..........but thats okay, I have seen THEM drive! I guess thats why there are drivers and builders! It really was amazing to watch the professionals build a true race engine, and how perfectly everything went together when proper machining and clearencing is done. I put some pics on the last page of my website. www.abrracing.com
We are not going to run CCTCC. I cannot commit time wise to run every race, and when we do it will probably be Sunday only as usual. I like having 3 sessions on track Sunday (warm up and two 20 min races) The car is not set up to run for 1 hour with the size fuel cell that we have, and I dont like some of the rules etc. Ontario Challenge Cup has been around a long time, the rules are consistant, I dont have to bolt weight inside the drivers compartment and I dont have to worry about the age of the car (they are talking about 10 years or newer for next year) Since I started racing Ontario Challenge Cup in 2003 we have always had large fields and safe competitive races.
