The Ottawa Meet,Posting After Comments..Here!

Well although I did have a little Trouble at First(locked My Freakin Keys in the Car in the Middle of Ottawa!),Things went Relatively Smoothly!..I saw a Car with No Driver,a Motorcycle accident on Terry Fox Drive, and about 15 Compression Tests(Thanks NIK!),Done with an Actual REAL mazda Tester!.The Barbeque afterwards(Thank you Will for your Hospitality!) was Great also.I met alot of New faces,as well as Old.I Would like to Extend my appreciation out to the People I did,and Have met through the RX7Club,and hope I may Meet alot more of People Of This Caliber.I have attended Many Parties(being 46!),and I was amazed that The Members Of THIS car Club Conducted Themselves in a Very Kind and Considerate Manner.I think it is safe to say that I am going to stick around to See what Next Meet has in Store!...so,Rotor On People, and may teh Boost be With you..sincerely DAVE/STYX!~

I wish I would of gone. I drove up from Virginia friday afternooon, but because of a detour to help a buddy pick up a second set of stock rims for his Speed6, as well as Memorial weekend traffic + construction, I didn't cross the border until 2:30am and get home around 3. I did cancel 2 days prior witht he Mx-3 guys cause I knew i was probably getting in late, but if things went well, I was hoping to change my mind if i got in early enough, but i couldn't do another drive (especially after 14hours on the road) on a few hours of sleep. Too bad, I put in new suspension and brakes for that trip too. As well, cause I didn't go, most of the other Mx-3 guys didn't go...

Nd4SpdSe,

I thought we would at least see you or the other black MX3 guy (I can't remember his name) at the Fairview meet point.
This year it was strictly a rotary cruise. With the exception of 1 Mazdaspeed6 and a last minute decision the host made, taking his daily driver Swift instead of his FD! lol

Hope to see you around sooner than later...

Would have loved to come, but new arrival is due today. Flooring and housework prevailed. Another year!

Lates,
Ya, it was a really hard decision to not go, but it's what made sence, and I always look forward to it. And like I said, I got new suspension and brakes done deliberately before OMM, but **** happens, but i'll give me every reason to be there next year whatever the case. I am however really disapointed that everyone else pretty much backed out because I didn't go, but last year, some complained because I didn't wait up for them/couldn't keep up (The joys and fun of being able to hang with the faster group ) I told them, I go for the trip, not to babysit, and they're swaped with KLZE's too. Man, when I first went about 4-5 years ago, I still had a compeltely stock Mx-3, and there was no slow group, all Rx-7's except for me and that yellow Sentra (those SA/FB's move). My knucles were white, my rotors were blue, my oil black, but I hung in there, lol. And even that, one of the guys complained that no one care that he was there last year. I told him that it's probably because they dont know him, and to go and make friends, be known. But I guess they'd rather sit in my shadow than to make their own way. I know the TO club has been hurting since I've been working in the US. I never knew how much sat on my shoulders, it's no easy, and I miss out on stuff ('07 OMM included) but I gotta do what I gotta do, but it's not forever either.

Although, I will be around sooner. I'm definitely coming back for MOTM, and I'll be taking advantage of the open road course . What I'm really hoping is that if everythign goes well, I'll have my new tranny (LSD+Fidenza) along with the aforementioned mods to the Mx-3 for that day, so if the weather's nice, I'll be a good day, won't make up for missing OMM this year, but enough.

Life does get in the way of everything. You've got to do what you got to do.
I think we swapped places for events this year. I made the Ottawa trip but I won't be able to make the MOM event.
Apparently everyone has decided to get married this year. So more than a few weekends are booked.
Unfortunately the MOM event falls on one of the wedding weekends.
More than a few members on this forum will be attending the event, so the MOM event will be short a few rotaries this year.

I'm sure more than a few new faces will be showing up for the event.
Just hope someone takes lots of pics this year.

Hope to see you around later in the season. I know there's a few cruises left... so you never know.

I'll take many rotary pics for ya at MOM, pending I go, but I'm making sure I do whatever I can to.

I'm in and out of the country often, so hopefully I'll see ya around this season
