Calabogie is a great track.
There is racing Saturday and Sunday.
Entry for spectators is usually free.

Jeez Evil, you had me all excited for a second. I thought you were going to build a giant fire, drink beer and talk about race go kart motors. If its going to be about "rataries", I will stay home and put another box into my Cougar in the vain hope of getting it back on track at some point.

Updates, how is the Race car doing this year ?

 

Ya so how did this weekend go?

 

Running 3rd out of 18, after starting last, we blew our turbo with 2 laps to go.

Lots of damage to the compressor wheel, one tooth of the turbine was missing, turbo shaft was broken and the turbine wheel itself ended up in the muffler.

We didn't have our EGT logging hooked up, but we suspect the cause to be ultra high EGTs due to excessive backpressure cause by the mega-muffler we need to run to conform to Calabogie's uber- sound restrictions.

We DID build a huge fire and drink lots of beer and hobo sherry!
