New Parts Guy At Probart Mazda

Had to order some fairly obscure parts on Wednesday; the copper washers for the metering oil nozzles.

I was pleasantly surprised that Mazda has hired a new parts guy who knows his stuff. Probart was never really problematic in that regard but occasionally they would be a little hostile towards RX-7 parts. Asking for a vin, demanding that I had to know the part number, etc. Evelyn was cool as she was always happy to look something up but she quit a while back.

Anyway, the new guy (I forget his name) actually owns 2 RX-7s and was very helpful. I already had the parts fiche up on my laptop but he immediately opened up his copy on their computer and went to the correct section without having to be prodded into it. Parts were ordered and we also had a nice conversation about RX-7s...

I'll remember that Aaron when or If I am up there ordering parts. Gerry @ Ajax Mazda Is by far the most pleasing parts guy to work with. He has never let me down and he's always consistent!

This Is what I've found In most of my experiences when I've went elsewhere.

Whitby mazda. I swung by to see about a bolt that mazda no longer carries for my link on the subframe.
The dude did know his stuff too. (This was the mechanic mind you) The parts counter guy was not familier at all about the rx7. The mechanic was excited about what I have done to my car and was eager for me to bring in the part for the bolt thinking he may be able to match the part.

I will go for my stuff to scarborough mazda since Al is the ****. LOL

Where is my stickers AL? Must pimp out SCARB MAZDA at the solo1 events!

Glad to hear that there is good service out there.

I know since my 2002 Nissian sentra took a steering rack dump, I'm never going back to nissian! I should have stuck to my plan of another mazda but no, that cheaper nissian took the lead

Awesome, I remember when I went to go in there last summer to order 4 piston brake rebuild kit, the guy demanned a vin, I said my car was a mutt, and he was wtf does that mean, I told him I was converting my base to have the 4 pistons and he started interigating me. But he did ship the parts to me, when Purolator lost them, I called up and there were to my door in 3 days.
