New moderator? Cool!
Word from the grape vine tells me that RacerJason is now a mod here in the Canadian forum.
I would like to officially congratulate him. This is a good sign, and hopefully it is a sign of change and great things to come.
Congrats on your new position! I'll buy you a beer next time I see you.

Thanks Jason and Jon et al. Yeah, I figured I'm in here every 2-3 hours (literally) so I could punctually address housekeeping. But yes, first and foremost I'd like to see the fun return, within reason & rules. Lets get back to being a good CDN rotary knowledge base and have a laugh while we're at it. What are we doing to replace the Ottawa meet this year?!?!?! I can't belive BAAAAMMMMMa lost last night.

ha ha... the CDN forum was simply added to my duties at my asking. I've been a Mod of the Rotary Performance, Racing, and Racing Classifieds areas for the last year. Tony and Jon will remain here doing their part.
As for a lapping day my suggestion is that we piggyback/enter as a group with a day that's already organized. This would mean nobody is stuck doing the administration, communication. collection of deposits etc. I will post a sticky early this spring that lists all ON lapping day opportunities, cost and contacts. If a date of one of them were to agree with all interested than I could speak to the oranizer.

Hey Jason, congrats on jumping on board the Canadian Forum. I'm personally glad to see this and with good timing too! As you can see the forum Is becoming more populated which definetly requires more attention to moderatorship.

Well if the track day doesn't pan out, I wouldn't mind hosting the Ottawa meet at my place. it's not as big as Will's but it's got a good deck, a bbq and a pool on a nice quiet dead-end street. Aaron and I planned out the cruise route last year so I'm sure we wouldn't have trouble fixing up something for this year
No reason to stop a meet that's so many years running now!
Whatever happens count me in as long as it isn't outrageously expensive, lol, 1st Gen Guys aren't made of money, especially not this one.
Jon
Edit: Plus I grabbed a 40" LCD and some stereo speakers for boxing day that I'm sure we'd get use from later in the evening. No fire pit though, unfortunately.

Let me know if I can do anything to help. I'm out in Winchester, but I'll do what I can.

Ah yes, Torontoites, Londonites (or whatever you call yourselves). You're right, Ottawa is a good four hours from the natural center of the earth, why would anyone ever venture out into the unknown wilds of Ottawa?
Here's a clue: Ever hear of a place called Montreal? Quebec city? They have nicer 7's than you (gasp) and they like meets too!
Just kidding around guys and seeing if I can still sting like I used to, don't take it personally
. But I still think Ottawa is the most central place for a big meet (assuming we exclude the rest of Canada)

. Shannonville is a pretty good track. In case I forget, they closed down the Sunoco.
