New dyno day...
OK this time, lets decide this..
Its never going to work to have everyone come down to one city..More than say 8 cars and its to rushed, to crazy and one problem puts kink in the whole thing so..
We can talk to Toma or Concept one about a dyno day for the Calgary guys, Toma's dyno is outside for the time being, concept 1's in inside, good for dyno runs, but I prefer the mustang for loading and tuning....
Outside of Calgary, you guys are on your own to decide for yourselves...Max

Yes its an Inertia dynojet, pretty good place to dyno actually, I have used their dyno before to tune, very accomodating... The numbers always show up higher on the dynojet compared to the mustang, some people say its 10% some 15...
I need some road miles before the dyno, and I want to tune it before hitting it, so its gonna be awhile,I also have a transmission to change soon and I want to get the car painted...Max

Maybe we should combine this with the Calgary meet thing then....My scheduling always falls apart to, even long term, I never know where I am going to be from one day to the next which makes it hard to plan anything...Who can crystal ball the weather in spring for Calgary?...Max

well it's going to go like this:
Its going to be nice for a month and all the snows going to melt. So now those of us who drive in the winter are going to take our winter tires off and put the summer tires on, drive for a week and then its going to snow like a bitch. Oh yah, and were going to think we can make it to the store and were gona get stuck . Then we'll be kicking ourselves in the *** for putting the summer tires on b/c the same thing happened last year.
hows that sound.

I think if we're going to do a group dyno meet we should shoot for mid summer some time. A couple reasons. The weather is slightly more stable, the chances of more of us having our cars on the road is higher. Plus since a group dyno day is not going to allow for tuning it gives those of us who do need some dyno tuning, or more mods some more time to get it done before we attend a meet that will only allow a limited number of runs. As mentioned I like Toma's dyno, he's great and tuning on the Mustang is fantastic. With that said I attended the Porsche club dyno day at Concept one and they were very accomidating, allowed for a BBQ to be setup, picknic table etc plus I would kind of like that dynojet number for bragging rights

For those of us RX-7 guy's not as "hardcore" so to speek. Would it be possable just for us to come and check things out while you guy's are tuning, talking rotary, etc...
Would be cool to check out some other 7's, meet some new people and even learn a few things..
I would really like to do this if possable.
LMK, Thanks

On most dyno days that I've seen the majority of the people are just hanging out talking cars and spectating. So I'm sure everyone would encourage you and others to stop by even if you don't plan on putting your car on the rollers.

I missed out on the toxic thread, did it get that bad? I would like to meet with You Guys for this if I can make Your date. I would like to see some of the nice Sevens in Alberta. The dyno is a nerve racking deal but it needs to be done and I hope that everyone will make it off with a good motor. Again someone pm Me if You get a date together and I will try to make it.

Hey, Steve.. I am going to talk with Toma about a dyno day this spring, since you are all by yourself pretty much out there, we can probably make a spot for you should this happen..So far it will probably be the usual clan, with a few new faces, figure on about 10-12 or so cars..max

I got a few more things to do to my car before I can hit the dyno, and I need some dedicated tuning time, but if I can get some work done here..The dyno I would like to use is currently mounted outside so its gonna be weather dependent, unless anyone else has a better idea..
