My new rotary!
#52
I got all of the rims done and its finally working properly. Turned out the secondary throttle plates in the carb were actually stuck shut. Now that they are free the car runs great and pulls hard to redline. It's off to Joe at Classic Auto tomorrow to have a few issues with the body fixed and bring the original paint back to a shine.

Nice find indeed! I'd try an auto body supply company for a light degreaser,if you haven't found anythin yet.im sure gunwash would work great and not damage the paint underneath.

Wow, that is one gorgeous find! Think I've only ever seen one other RX-4 in a custom orange at a classic car show before. And here I can never find anything interesting in Ontario...

Small update on the Rx-4. The original engine is smoking more than I'd like to see and fouls plugs after about 4000 miles. After 46 years I'm thinking the oil control o rings have probably gotten dried out and are letting oil past the oil control rings. So I built a spare engine that I had and I'll swap it in sometime soon. Then I can tear the original engine down and freshen it up as well.
