my new old rotary

i just picked this up, and ill admit, iv got my hands full with this one. but none the less im super exited to start restoring it. my new nsu ro80. shes a bit rough but everythings there. and the story on this one is that it was brought into canada by a german military officer, and supposedly was the first in canada.

Just fantastic, what a car that was truly ahead of its time. Look how timeless the body lines still are today. Can't wait to see it brought back to life.

Pretty cool, the inboard brakes are interesting. Sure there will be a lot more stuff you stumble apon thats out there.

Nice find! This project will take a lot of work though. Parts will be next to impossible to find. Good luck!

thats the plan, i want to restore it to stock, the best part it everything is there. im going to remove the seats and carpets and smash out whats left of the floor. bend and weld new sheet metal to replace. id say i should be driving it in 2 years. well im hoping anyway. im also going to rebuild the original engine.

With that engine, transaxle and inbord brake setup, I am amazed nobody butchered this up to make it a Formula car or sports racer.

Cool car, but a lot of work ahead of you. Good luck.
