My First RX7
I have finally taken the plunge. I have said "Goodbye my love" to my credit score and credit card, and "Hello" to a live of frustration and debt, accompanied by moments of tremendous joy and fun.
That's right, I've finally bought my first RX7.
Car drives amazing. Not only am I a first time buyer, today was the first time I've ever drove an RX7. I was sold within the first 10 seconds.

Thanks a lot man, I will do that. It was sort of a rush buy. I know of at least one guy that wanted the car and was going to check it out on Monday. For the price, I figured I couldn't go wrong.
I'm sure there are some shady adjustments to the car that I am not aware of, hopefully not too many.
Again, thanks for the advice. Anything else I should check or be aware of? I already did the standard checks when I test drove the car, like looking for any leaks, if it struggled to get to 3000RPMs in the beginning, oil temp., etc. Nothing too in depth though, just what was explained in the various "Buyer Guides" out there.

Read all of the FAQ in the third gen section. Read all the threads relating to reliability mods. Then go have it inspected by the rotary specialist of your choice. These cars are fantastic to own when you are an informed consumer but can be disastrous when one doesn't get informed.
Good luck hope to see you at a meet in the spring. I love white FDs as well.

Yea, I have seen the list of reliability mods and I'm probably going to get on those right away. You can't see it in the picture, but it does have a boost gauge. Other than the skirts, steering wheel, emblems, decks, and boost gauge, it's pretty much stock.

Yea, I drove from Toronto to Montreal to check it out. Man, I won't be doing that again in one day. Drive took forever. Well, 4 1/2 hours there, 5 1/2 hours back (put it in cruise control and laid back, plus we stopped to eat). But it was worth it.

The side skirt on the left side is pretty damaged, I think I will be changing them pretty soon. Maybe during better weather when I actually drive the car a lot.
And yea, the place I went to was rife with cheap RHDs in good condition. I took a friend with me and he was so close to buying a Supra they had there. Really good looking car, and it was only like $7200. I guess since Quebec passed the law forbidding RHD vehicles from being registered, they have a lot of dead stock they need to get rid of. It's a good place to start looking for RHD cars right now.
And I didn't drive the RX7 back from Montreal, I'm getting it shipped. It should be here Tuesday afternoon. But I took my 09 Lancer down there, filled up twice, and it only cost me around $75. The truck stops on the 401 were selling gas at 90.2 cent/L. As oppose to 98.7 in Toronto and 104.2 in Montreal.
I think I addressed most of everyones questions. Which is good because I'm going to be posting a whole bunch of my own when I actually start working on the car.
Oh yea, and the RE Amemiya Steering Wheel stays
